In this week's Hump Day Q'n'A I discuss The Gift of Injury. None of us want to get injured, getting injured absolutely sucks. However injury is often part and parcel of living a physically active lifestyle. Of course we try to minimise injury risk where possible (gym activities are easier to control than most sports due to less variables) but they will still occur from time to time.
In this episode I discuss:
- The importance of seeking out expert advice when injured and why buying into their diagnosis and recommendations can be key to a faster recovery.
- Why building your Rehab work into your daily habits is key for adherence and consistency.
- Why it's important to focus on what you can do NOT what you can't do.
- Why injury can be a Gift in highlighting our weaknesses and current training tolerance levels so that we can better prepare ourselves and our Training so that we can return better than before to achieve our goals.
