    That's exactly the experience I had the March before my freshman year of college. While diving, I considered quitting about 1,000 times, especially when my mask flooded and regulator froze under 60 feet of water. With thoroughly numb fingers, I signaled distress to my dive buddy who shared his air and pulled me to the surface. I didn't panic under pressure (no pun intended) because as a diver, you don't panic. You don't quit. And you trust and rely on your dive buddy, no matter how you feel about them.
