THE GIFTS OF GOD — Sondra Ray and Markus Ray on A Course in Miracles

We have to suspend all judgment to master TOLERANCE. Not always so easy. What would it be like to have no judgments? We certainly would be TOLERANT. And while TOLERANT, we would be GENTLE. We are building TRUST based on these recently discussed characteristics of HONESTY, TOLERANCE and GENTLENESS.

Markus and Sondra demonstrate their 5-Point Prayer Process. This consists of

1) Reading a few paragraphs in the TEXT of ACIM;

2) Forgiveness;

3) Gratitudes;

4) Petition of Intention for your day;

5) Reading from the Workbook of ACIM.

Here you have it. You can start your day with this 5-Point Prayer Process. This will give us our Divine Connection through the "Door of Everything."

The Teacher of God is consistent with all of his or her thoughts, words, deeds and actions. And there is no "challenge" to be so, and their will is one with their Creator's . Consistency is the attribute of true Honesty.

This section in the Teacher's Manual gives us the "characteristics of God's Teachers" in Section 4. There are 10 Characteristics, so these will be discussed for the next 10 Days. The first attribute is TRUST. This is the main Characteristic. This is something we would best memorize:

The teachers of God have trust in the world, because they have learned it is not governed by the laws the world made up. It is governed by a power that is in them but not of them. It is this power that keeps all things safe. It is through this power that the teachers of God look on a forgiven world.

It is time we develop this TRUST.

These are the things we need to know about "levels of teaching." Ultimately there are none. This section in the Manual For Teachers makes that clear, and as well describes three cases of "encounters" we may face as students of ACIM.

Who are the students of the teachers of God? There are certain ones assigned to us when we decide to be one of God's Teachers. And we make this decision when we see the interests of someone else as our own.

Who Are God's Teachers? This section discusses what it means to be a student and a teacher of God.

And if I need a word to help me, He will give it to me. If I need a thought, that will He also give. And if I need but stillness and a tranquil, open mind, these are the gifts I will receive of Him. He is in charge by my request. And He will hear and answer me, because He speaks for God my Father and His holy Son.

We continue with this important Lesson, 361-5. We want to remember our "Heaven of God's Peace." This involves total forgiveness of ourselves and others. We can be in the Stillness of the Peace of God. Let's put aside our own insanity today, because so simple is this release by letting go of our judgments and grievances as unreal.
