We do not often think we are speaking "the word of God." The loftiness of such an utterance would take us to a different dimension that we are not used to in everyday life. But nonetheless, we are asked to go to this dimension and speak something that is lofty. We are unwilling, for the most part. But why? Would we trust that this word would put us in pure Peace and Joy? Or are we addicted to our misery of victimhood? Deep questions are brought up by this Lesson #276.
What would God say to us? Do we have the ears to hear it? We must. What else would we be listening to? Our fears and concerns? Our "problems?" Can we bring our minds to silence and "have the ears to hear" God's Healing Voice? In this Podcast Markus and Sondra discuss what it means to really listen to a Voice beyond our ego's raucous ravings. We are awakened in a state of attention, when we quiet our minds together to join with the Christ Mind in hearing God's Healing Voice.
We are as God Created us in LOVE. Nothing else but this is true. Nothing else but this is worth our attention. We are in a state of Joy realizing this fact. Anything short of Pure Joy does not merit our attention. But we must include our Brother in this ascension into our Holy Identity. Together we ascend. Separate we stay stuck. Today belongs to Love with our Brother. In that state of Holy Relationship, there is only Love; there is nothing to fear.
How long will we wait for the day of "undisturbed tranquility?" This is what A Course in Miracles is awakening us to claim. Do we want the Peace of God above all else? If not, why not? Would we rather have the disappointments that inevitably accompany worldly pursuits and endeavors? Let's get our priorities straight at least. The Peace of God is our top priority. And then from there, "all things shall be added unto us."
The Holy Spirit asks so little of us to come to our aid. Yet, the ego wants to offer all kinds of penance to "make ourselves worthy" of receiving God's good graces. What if none of this were necessary? In fact, doing something to merit God's grace blocks the reception of this very grace. We need do nothing to receive the Holy Spirit's help. Can we "do nothing?" The ego loves a "plan of action" it formulates to receive God's Love. At the same time, this plan blocks the Holy Spirit from giving fully. Less is More in this case. Doing "nothing" with Trust is more valuable than an ironclad plan forged in doubt. Do nothing then, and receive everything.
What but the truth can satisfy God's Son? He knows His Identity in God. This is the truth. This is the Christ. Anything short of this would not be the truth. It would be an illusion, a substitute for the whole truth. Let us today accept ourselves as what our Father's Will created us to be. In this Self-Identity we share with the Christ, we are united, healed, and whole. Let us rejoice in this fact.
How do we see? What eyes are we using? Yesterday said, "I will not use the body's eyes today." So then what? What is this "Christ's vision" that does not use the body's eyes? It seems almost beyond our understanding. Indeed. But it is accessible or Jesus would not ask us to use "Christ's vision." Do we want this above all else? Can we make it there in our highest intentions for the day? What higher intention could we have together? It is clear what this Lesson asks of us. Love, MARKUS & SONDRA.
What gives us true vision but the Christ? What deceives us but the filter of judgments we use from what the body's eyes perceive. We can trade the way we are seeing now with the body's eyes for Christ's vision—of a forgiven world. This is the decision we must make.
What but the Christ are we to see in our brothers and sisters? And this applies to our worst "enemies." Are we students of A Course in Miracles or not? The challenges and temptations of judgments are always there to test us. Will we see with "Christ's vision" or with the ego's vision, which is not seeing at all. Looking upon Christ's face is the only real purpose for holy vision. Can we do this? We can, but will we? It is the one decision we must make.
What would reality look like with no fear? no sense of loss? no problems whatsoever? This is what Reality with a capital "R" is—a state of being in Heaven. Let all things be exactly as they are. What function do they have in Heaven? Either they have a function or they do not. We can let go of all that is not in our Heaven. God's will for us is perfect happiness, therefore what is not "happy" is not God's will. Therefore, it is not part of Reality. Let it be as it is, and let it go then. What remains will be our Heaven State of Being.
