THE GIFTS OF GOD — Sondra Ray and Markus Ray on A Course in Miracles

There will be people your life who really activate you. They may be attacking you emotionally. You might think of them as your "enemy."  It is no accident they are in your life. They are helping you to clear the darkened corners of your mind and heart that you have kept hidden. They are your "savior for the day." They may be challenging you to admit you were wrong about them. They may be asking you to give up your attack thoughts. They may be freeing you from all grievances. This is what they are doing. Teaching you the true meaning of forgiveness. Forgive your "enemy." Can we embrace them as our "savior," this being the case? 

This is the Lesson that can lead us out of strife, especially with that person who is the most activating in our life right now. The person who is activating is our "savior for the day" as we are told in Lesson #78: 

Let me behold my savior in this one 

You have appointed as the one for me 

to ask to lead me to the holy light in which 

he stands, that I may join with him.

This is the very person to whom this lesson today refers. "To love my Father is to love HIs Son." We also have to forgive ourselves in this clean sweep of our grievances. This is the master erase. We forgive them, ourselves, and picture them forgiving us as well. And turn everything over to the Holy Spirit as the Force of True Empathy. 

Since we we told yesterday we are in danger nowhere in the world, what would be the result of that? Today's lesson is the result of seeing no danger in anything. The peace of God is with us, and we are safe no matter what situation confronts us. We can meet any challenge, any apparent danger, any family conflict with the peace of God shining in us. As a result of this peace, we are safe. There is nothing our holiness cannot do, and there is no place we are without the Love of God surrounding us. These are just facts. Can we embrace them today? 

Why do we feel threatened? What is danger? Is it our physical body that we fear will be injured or come to an end? Why do we ever feel in danger? This Lesson gives us an antidote to fear and danger. There is a Divine Protection into which we can enter. This Lesson takes us into that. Are we willing to go there?  

"Today I will judge nothing that occurs." Can we bring this lesson into application? Not that easy sometimes. A situation that is upsetting always involves our own contribution to it. Did you ever notice when there is a "problem," you are there? Your thought forms and memories contribute to the problem. Your judgments feed it. Therefore, your removal of judgments begins to diffuse it. A "problem" without "a judgment" does not exist. Today we begin to question the need for judgments, and our relinquishment of them. 

Can we be guided in this day we give to God? The TEXT tells us to "make no decisions by ourself." This Lesson instructs us to ask Him Who knows the way to God to lead us to our Holy Home. Will we ask? This is the challenge, isn't it--to ask the Holy Spirit, "What would You have me do? Where would You have me go? What would You have me say, and to whom?" These are the questions we can ask once an hour to keep ourselves on track with this Lesson.   

Today we begin Section 3. of PART II of the Workbook of ACIM: What is the world? And it begins by saying we have to forgive everything in this world because it was made out of separation, and it is an "attack on God." Those are strong words. Salvation is here now when we forgive everything, most of all ourselves. Can we do it? With the Holy Spirit's help we can. This Holy Instant, now, is the only time there is. Let is step into it without delay. Let us try again for "complete forgiveness.” Let us value Salvation above all else.

Fear is not justified.  We are in the momentum of our "thought," which ACIM calls "meaningless." This kind of full sweep of the mind is what is needed to eliminate fear. Fear is NEVER JUSTIFIED. God is not the culprit of our fear and suffering. We are. When will we stop projecting fear? Why not today?

Do we connect with the Glory of God on a regular basis? Or do we sell ourselves short of perfect happiness? What is this Glory spoken of in the Lesson? Do we experience it? We seem to be challenged by some people to have harmonious and lasting relationships. Can we "see the face of Christ" in them instead of their mistakes and our mistakes? Claiming the Gifts of God of our Glory depends on this.

Do we really get the urgency of being a student of A Course in Miracles? "On my decision all salvation rests." That's like saying the well being of every person on the planet is affected by me and my decision for salvation. What is this "decision?" I mean, it must be BIG for Jesus to say this to us. Think about it. It's huge. However, we are not entrusted with this kind of a thing if we are not capable of wielding its power and promise. On our decision the salvation of the world is at stake. There is an urgency that we forgive everyone and everything, most of all ourselves. Let's do it together. HUGS.
