Markus & Sondra discuss the Lesson today. They are recognizing that our mind is "blank" when we are "thinking" with past thoughts. We observe that much of our mind is filled with past thoughts. What we "seem to be thinking about" is not our connection to our Source. It is good to observe our minds are preoccupied past thoughts in order to let them go.
Sondra & Markus discuss Lesson #7, "I see only the past." In this dialogue the nature of seeing through the filter of "the past" is examined. Why do we need to step out of the past into this present moment? How do we give attention to the Now? These are questions everyone has, and this podcast goes deeply into them.
Markus & Sondra discuss Lesson #6 in A Course in Miracles: "I am upset because I see something that is not there." We are upset for reasons that are past, and our current situation that is upsetting is just a replay of an earlier "upset." We also judge the situation as "upsetting," "fearful," "undesirable," etc. Can we stop our upset by seeing the "cause" in not there? This question is explored in this podcast.
Sondra & Markus discuss Lesson #5, "I am never upset for the reason I think." What is the real reason we are upset? In any situation in which we feel less than Joy, it is usually because we are projecting some past incident onto it. The present "upset" is just a "trigger" for some past hurt. Originally this was our imagined "separation" from our Source Energy of Joy.
Sondra and Markus Discuss Lesson #4 of ACIM, "These thoughts do not mean anything." The nature of thought is to divide life into "good" vs. "bad." Thoughts of either are preventing us from having our "real thoughts." This lesson is designed to stop our thinking and come to a still mind.
Sondra and Markus Ray discuss Lesson # 3 in A Course in Miracles, "I do not understand anything I see." This beginning step in the curriculum is designed to remove our opinions and judgments from the way we "see" things.
SONDRA & MARKUS discuss Lesson #2 in this talk: "I have given everything I see all the meaning that it has for me." Is it possible to remove our "meanings" we project onto things in order to allow their sacred meaning to be revealed to us? The suspension of judgment is the goal, and "our meanings" are usually full of hidden judgments. This Lesson is a good practice to let go of them.
MARKUS RAY & SONDRA RAY work with serious students of A Course in Miracles for a Year, starting January 1, 2022. This is Lesson #1. "Nothing I see means anything." Why is it necessary to wipe the slate clean, and undo our perceptions of things? Markus and Sondra discuss the opening of ACIM in this beginning dialogue: A YEAR I GIVE TO GOD.
This important section in the TEXT, Chapter 21, Section II, is "The Responsibility for Sight." Sondra and Markus dialogue on this very important section. It frees us of any "victim consciousness" that may be lingering in our mind.
GRACE is given to us constantly. Can we receive it. We have to prepare ourselves with "complete forgiveness." Our responsibility is to let go of grievances toward ourselves and others. We have to let go in order to prepare the space for GRACE to come to our awareness. Our forgiveness must rest upon everything.
