I pray this blesses you — for real.

I’ve been sitting with something heavy, and it started after watching the clip of Summer from Baddies saying something reckless about Emmett Till. That comment? Wildly disrespectful. And my heart breaks for his family. But you know what hit me even deeper?

It shouldn’t take a moment like that for us to open our eyes.

People were up in arms (as they should be), but why did it take this for us to finally say out loud what so many of us already knew — that Zeus Network and shows like Baddies have been feeding us toxic content for way too long?

We deserve better.Our girls deserve better.Our legacy deserves better.

I could rant about how media is failing us. I could go off about how we need to protect our culture and call our community higher. But instead of just venting, I’m doing what I was called to do — be a solution.

Since there are three prayers left, I figured it was best to put them in one post for the last Friday in February. March is our paid content month, so I want to be sure to give everything free now that should be free. Plus, March will feature some dope, fresh content and you’ll want to press in. January and February were awesome months to build a powerful prayer life by listening to our prayers, but I pray you also wrote out some of your own.

Remember, prayer is simply talking to God. I always encourage people to pray scriptures because God’s word can’t return void (Isaiah 55:10-11). If you’re ever at a loss for words, pray The Word. Don’t compare your prayer life to anyone else’s and listen just as much as you speak. Prayer is a two-way conversation. Sometimes, you may feel compelled to be quiet during your prayer time because God is talking. Keep a journal and be sure to listen.

This prayer call blessed me deeply. One of my assignments over the last three years has been praying for men in the body of Christ. As women, we have a special opportunity to influence our men by being prayer warriors and creating a healthy environment for their hearts. Last month, when the January/February double issue was released, there was an article that talked about how speaking life to our men creates healthy environments. I encourage you to go back and read it after listening to this prayer call.

Remember, this applies to all men in our lives, not just husbands. Healthy men of God are the foundation of healthy families and healthy communities.

We work so hard to learn and speak our loved one’s love languages, forgetting that God has one as well. Romans 12:1 talks about what our reasonable service is - which is to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God. I pray as you listen to this call you allow the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of your life that aren’t surrendered to Him.

There’s been an attack on women’s confidence since the days of Adam and Eve. A lot of the women God has used me to minister to over the last five or so years have all struggled with confidence. I noticed a pattern. A lot of times the enemy uses the circumstances you go through to take a hit at your confidence. I believe he does this because once

your confidence takes a hit, your faith takes one. It’s hard to believe in God’s plan for your life if you’re struggling to believe in yourself.

I pray this call blesses you; and remember, confidence isn’t cockiness. It’s having a healthy view of yourself and standing in your God-given identity and authority 24/7.

I know we want to get rid of the things that are holding us back once we get a taste of freedom. I know what that feels like. I remember when I first started going through deliverance and I got set free from a spirit that had tormented me since childhood, I just wanted to rush through everything and get it over with. One of the best gifts God could’ve ever given me was having to walk out my deliverance. You didn’t get in it overnight. Be patient with yourself and your healing.
