Prayer is the essence of our relationship with Christ. No relationship survives without communication. Prayer grows our own relationship and advances the Kingdom. Join us as we talk about the purpose of prayer and what it means to our lives as followers of Christ.

Have you ever thought about the answer to “what is prayer?” Many of us don’t think about it much because we grow up praying “God is great, God is good” or reciting the Lord’s Prayer in unison without maybe even thinking about the meaning or the fact that we are talking to the God of the Universe. Something that many people before us could not do without many rituals or going to someone else.  

This week, we are unpacking what prayer is and what it means to our lives as sons and daughters of the God Most High. We are children. When are perspective changes on prayer from reciting words to talking to our Daddy, we see the power He gives us in approaching His Throne of Grace with confidence.

We are so excited for Girl Talk Fall 2021! This semester we will be studying Prayer! We are so thankful to be developing our Heart Issues Curriculum as we study with you and share with you what Holy Spirit is leading and teaching us through. How does your worship change your life and the lives around you?

Have you ever thought about The Power of Worship?  

Mark 5 tells us the story of Jesus casting out a demon. The demon possessed man could not be controlled by anyone, until Jesus.  

As soon as Jesus showed up, the demon bowed and the man was free. Even the demons bow down. Imagine the power, if the demon bows down and is casted out, what is the power of worship capable of doing in our lives?  

Join us this week as we look at where our focus goes determines the power of worship in our lives.

How Are We Called to Worship?

Who are you worshipping? Our lives tell a lot about what we put first. In Matthew 6, Jesus tells us "where your treasure, there your heart will be also." This week we are looking into the many ways our lives show who we worship. Do we worship ourselves by thinking only of us and what we want? Do we worship others by letting their opinion of us control what we do? Do we worship the world and culture, giving it the final say in all things we think and do? Join us this week and share with your friends, as we dig into all the questions of who am I worshipping?

What is worship? Worship is much more than singing songs in church. Throughout Scripture we see the example of worship as sacrifice and serving as we give God the glory for all He is worth. Join us this week as we unpack the true meaning of worship and how we can worship the Lord with all our heart, soul and mind!
