We are SO grateful to chat with Mia and Joren today and hear some of their amazing story about how God has worked and continues to work in their lives.  Mia is a very talented songwriter for Hillsong and has co-written songs with Michael Smith, Matt Maher and many other Christian artists... and is spreading the word through her beautiful music giving HIM all the glory.  She is absolutely hilarious and shines the light and love of Christ.  Together, with her husband who God literally led to her, they are an amazing TEAM.  We wish you could see Joren's eyes- the kindest eyes in the world!  His example of a man is a testimony to all and the way they love each other is an example of the love of God.  Join us to learn more of how God truly wants us to have a joyful life and how they live they out daily!

 

In our culture, we are so focused on activity... but today we discuss the importance of being present over doing so many activities.  First, how can we learn to just BE with God, how are we being present in our marriage and not just going through the motions, and are we really paying attention to our children or plugging them up with devices?  Join us as we challenge ourselves to be a companion verses doing all the things!

 

Today we talk about the game of life and the choices we make.  For every choice, there is a result, which can be good and/or bad.  We discuss thinking of what you actually want in your career and beginning with the end in mind, then working backwards.  We talk about the importance of teaching for every action there is a reaction and how that goes to our chi

 

Today we are talking about what may NOT be our strengths.  The first step is becoming aware of what we are not the best at and what we can work on.  After recognizing where we are or aren't, the next step is readily admitting it to ourselves so that we can grow.  In work, it's usually the most beneficial to play to your strengths and not get wrapped up in doing what you aren't good at, but in relationships, we often need to grow in skills and areas of life.  Being willing to dive into what we can improve is paramount to thrive in relationships.  We aren't asking you to seek perfection on this side of heaven but rather work on progression over perfection!

 

Today we discuss attaching your identity to anything that's not permanent.  Are you defined by your career?  Does your "status" in life, being married or single, a mother, etc define you?  Does the image you have of yourself or the one you project on social media define you?  We encourage you today to not attach who you are and what you are made for to anything that's not permanent... and nothing this side of heaven is permanent!  We are embracing Ed Mylett this week, "Outlast the temporary."

Is it All Up to ME?

 

Today we dive into the ungodly self-reliance we all fall into at times, some of us more than others.  Control of everything in our lives really is an illusion, and when we realize that God is in control and step into His plans, things seem to go much better.  Secondly, we often have too much of our hope in people which can lead us to constant disappointment and having others on a pedestal is unfair to them and to us.   ONLY God, and God alone, can be our ultimate everything.  Finally, we pray as if it all depends on God, but we ACT as if it all depends on us.  Join us as we journey away from ungodly self-reliance.

Today, we welcome Fr. Ken Geraci to the podcast!  We are SO excited and grateful to have Fr. Ken.  He shares his amazing story of moving from life in the business world to working for God full time.  Fr. Ken went from agnostic to a full out conversion of radically giving up a high-paying job to walking away from it all for the call to live for HIM alone.  He has had a massive impact in both of our lives, an inspiration to all, a sheer gift, and one of our all-time favorite men.
