Recently, redefining my relationship to sleep and my social life has been a little tricky (while being on a cut) but I share the strategies that have helped me navigate this, particularly in this bodybuilding season where I need to stay focused. That being said, this is a reminder to take care of your mental health!!

This week, I wanted to share a quick update as I’m planning to go into a 14-15 week cut followed by a reverse diet and building phase for the rest of 2024 going into 2025. I talk about the purpose and decision behind why Ana (my coach) and I decided to shift things around because having resilience and adaptability is an important quality to build as an athlete. Most importantly, making sure my period is completely normal the next few months as I approach this cutting phase!

On today’s episode, I’m super excited to be introducing you to our guest, Sarah Liz King,  an accredited Exercise Physiologist and Health Coach (with a focus on eating disorders and hypothalamic amenorrhea; loss of your period). Sarah had hypothalamic amenorrhea and lost her period for 10 years! We talk about Sarah’s journey, all the warning signs of HA and the process of healing HA because as Sarah says, “it’s simple in theory but so challenging as a process”. Fast forward to today, all my meals are balanced and meant to provide me with both energy and joy to be a better athlete and a happy person.
