Today marks a special episode as we honour Women in Construction and International Women's Day. Joining us are two remarkable women from Gleeson: Alice Best, our Head of Organisational Development, and Sarah Rochelle, our Senior Ecologist. This year's Women in Construction theme, 'Keys to the Future', highlights the strength and expertise of women, emphasising their pivotal role in shaping the construction industry's future. Additionally, as International Women's Day coincides with Women in Construction week, we will delve into the 2024 campaign theme, ‘Inspire Inclusion’.

At the start of this year, we saw rising mortgage rates dominate the headlines with both fixed rates and variable deals becoming more expensive and as a result, the housebuilding industry saw a slight decline in first-time buyers, and a shift towards second-stepper, ‘right sizers’ and downsizers.
