INTERVIEW: President Cyril Ramaphosa has moved to calm fears about the economic impact of the pending national lockdown saying those whose livelihoods will be impacted by the lockdown will be assisted through a series of measures including the use of a temporary Employee Relief Scheme. The lockdown will start at midnight on Thursday and will remain in effect until April 16.

ARTS INTERVIEW: The University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Centre for Creative Arts is hosting the 23rd Time of the Writer International Festival Virtual Edition from today until to 25 March 2020.
The physical edition of the festival, that was due to start on 16 March, had to be cancelled on the morning of opening night in view of the current corona pandemic.
