Redemption Bible Church begins week three of four in the current sermon series, "When Love Came Down," a celebration of the Christmas season. Pastor Jason Mayhall teaches about what it takes for the Gospel to transform one's life. Through Philippians 2, God shares several truths with us in his attempt to help us change how we behave toward Him and toward other people. Paul asks in his letter to the church for unity and to focus our thoughts like Christ. Pastor Jason describes how we're all seeking the same aim and direction, but a lack of humility can create challenges. The path to humility is ultimately about following Jesus, and to do so we must avoid selfish ambitions and our inherent desire to be noticed by others. By focusing on helping other people, we follow the example given to us by Jesus.
