Growing up in a Haitian and religious household, the idea of owning her own business seemed farfetched to Soledad Maurice. It was something that was never talked about. Instead, going to school and getting a “good job” was always the main objective.
Nonetheless, Soledad went against the grain, leaving her teaching job and unlearning the conventional ideas that were instilled in her while gaining a more spiritual understanding based on her own personal experiences. Doing this opened her eyes to a world of new possibilities that she never imagined. Even with strong condemnation and strife from the people closest to her, Soledad was persistent and did not allow anyone to dilute her innovative visions.
Soledad is now the founder of 2 extremely successful businesses, Bold MYNDS and Soledad Maurice Innovations, LLC.
