Adam’s disobedience brought ruin to us all. But what did Christ’s obedience accomplish? If we have no trouble believing what Adam did affected everyone, why do we struggle with what Christ did? Maybe we have underestimated the Last Adam.

What about faith and repentance? If Adam’s disobedience affected humanity without our permission, what does Christ’s obedience mean for us? Are faith and repentance something we contribute to Christ’s finished work—or are they our response to the Good News of what He has already done?
