WHEN YOU ALREADY KNOW: Why We Stay Longer Than We Should
The Goddess Movement | From Breakdown to Badass
Have you ever known, deep down, that you weren't happy in a relationship but felt more frightened of leaving than staying?Maybe you still love them. Maybe you've built a home, raised children and shared years of memories. Maybe you've invested so much of yourself that starting again feels impossible. And yet, beneath the love, history, fear and hope, there's a quiet question: “Is this really the life I want?” In this honest, thought-provoking solo episode, Tanya B explores the psychology of staying in relationships that no longer make us happy, and why leaving is rarely as simple as “just walk away.”
WE EXPLORE:
• Why love and unhappiness can coexist.
• Emotional attachment, commitment and fear of change.
• How children, finances, shared homes and identity affect decisions.
• The power of hope, promises and the possibility of change.
• Why familiar pain can feel safer than an uncertain future.
• The cost of staying versus the cost of leaving.
• How to begin listening to yourself again.
Research shows that commitment isn't just about satisfaction: what we've invested and how we view our alternatives matter too. Studies also link relationship quality with physical health. When children are involved, safety, stability and family dynamics matter more than simplistic claims that staying together or separating is always best.
This episode isn't here to tell you to stay or leave. Some relationships can heal when both people do the work. Others may no longer be right for us. The aim is to help you reflect without judgement.
Ask yourself: Am I holding on to the relationship I have or the one I keep hoping we'll have? What is staying costing me? Sometimes the hardest truth isn't that we don't know. It's that we already know, and aren't yet ready to face what that knowing might mean.
NEXT EPISODE: Should I Stay or Should I Go? Tanya welcomes Angelique Pellegrino back to explore patterns, boundaries, genuine change and finding clarity.

From Breakdown to Badass
What happens when you stop running from yourself and finally face the parts of your life you have been avoiding?
In Episode 2 of The Goddess Movement: From Breakdown to Badass, I sit down with my first guest, the beautiful Nicole Cambridge, Mum of two, home renovator and Real estate professional, with a powerful lived experience story of recovery and rebuilding. Nicole and I have a deeply honest conversation about identity, motherhood, relationships, self worth, substance use, mental health, validation, accountability, boundaries, spirituality and healing.
Nicole brings such a grounded, calming and powerful energy to this conversation as we talk about what happens when life forces you to look at yourself properly.
We explore the pressure of motherhood and family life, losing yourself in relationships, learning to enjoy your own company, recognising your worth and understanding that sometimes taking your power back begins with becoming comfortable with the person you see in the mirror.
We also talk about trauma, addiction, mental health, unhealthy relationships, meditation, boundaries, accountability and the sometimes messy reality of rebuilding yourself.
This is not a conversation about pretending healing is beautiful or linear.
It is about owning your story.
Taking responsibility for what is yours.
Letting go of what is not.
Learning to protect your peace.
And finding your way back to yourself.
Because healing isn’t linear.
Growth isn’t pretty.
And sometimes becoming the woman you were always meant to be requires facing the parts of yourself you would rather avoid.
Welcome home, Goddess.
You are not the victim of your story.
You are the warrior rising from it.

This time, the interviewer becomes the interviewee.
I’ve spent The Goddess Movement asking my guests the questions that get underneath the polished version of their lives. The uncomfortable questions. The honest ones. The ones about who we were, what changed us, what we lost, what we learned and who we are becoming.
So I figured it was only fair that I answered them too.
In this episode, I put myself in the hot seat and answer all 22 questions honestly, from confidence, self worth and losing yourself, to motherhood, boundaries, spirituality, rebuilding, starting over and what being a badass actually means to me now.
There’s no perfectly healed woman sitting behind this microphone pretending she has life figured out.
I’m 46. I’m rebuilding. I’m learning. I’m unlearning. I’m creating businesses, raising my beautiful daughter, chasing some very big dreams and trying to become a more disciplined, peaceful, grounded version of myself.
Some days I’m Goddess.
Some days I’m Goblin.
Both apparently get a microphone.
If you’re rebuilding too, questioning where your life is heading, learning to choose yourself again or simply wondering who the hell you are underneath all the roles you play, this episode is for you.
Because you are not your breakdown.
You are not your mistakes.
You are not your worst chapter.
You are the person who gets to decide what happens next.

What if the problem you can see isn’t actually the problem holding you back?
In this deeply personal episode of The Goddess Movement: From Breakdown to Badass, Tanny B sits down with Rapid Transformational Therapy practitioner Angelique Pellegrino for the beginning of a very special 12 month RESET journey.
Angelique shares the experiences that shaped her, from growing up in Switzerland and surviving profound personal challenges, to building a life centred around resilience, transformation and helping others find their way forward.
Together, Tanny and Angelique dive beneath the surface to explore childhood conditioning, self worth, the emotional patterns we carry into adulthood, relationships, meditation, boundaries and the beliefs that can quietly shape our choices for years.
They also explore Angelique’s work with Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), the idea of getting to the root of what may really be holding us back, and why simply knowing better doesn’t always mean we immediately do better.
And because this is The Goddess Movement, it isn’t all perfectly polished healing talk. There’s honesty, humour, vulnerability, a little chaos and two women who are very much still living the work they’re talking about.
This episode also marks the beginning of something new. Angelique will be joining Tanny once a month for the next 12 months as they continue the RESET journey, exploring relationships, identity, healing, confidence, patterns, boundaries and what happens when women decide they are ready to look honestly at their lives and create change.
They also share the story behind their collaborative RESET music project and what RESET has come to represent for both of them.
This isn’t a conversation about becoming perfectly healed.
It’s about recognising what may be happening beneath the surface, understanding why we repeat certain patterns, learning to trust ourselves again and remembering that a breakdown does not have to be the end of the story.
Sometimes it’s the beginning of becoming the woman you were always meant to meet.
In this episode:
• Angelique’s extraordinary personal story and resilience
• Childhood conditioning and the beliefs we carry into adulthood
• Repeating emotional and relationship patterns
• Self worth, confidence and identity
• Angelique’s approach to Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT)
• Meditation, grounding and protecting your peace
• Boundaries and learning to stand up for yourself
• Why healing isn’t always linear
• The story and meaning behind RESET
• What being a “Badass” actually means to them

Because sometimes we move three steps forward and two steps back.
That doesn’t mean we’re not moving.
Keep healing. Keep growing. Keep rising. And never forget the goddess within you is still there.
What happens when the life you worked bloody hard to build falls apart and you have to figure out who you are without it?
Welcome to From Breakdown to Badass, the podcast from The Goddess Movement, hosted by Tanny B.
In this deeply personal opening episode, Tanny shares the real story behind the movement: success, mistakes, heartbreak, identity loss, resilience and what it takes to rebuild your life.
From performing on festival stages and spending more than 15 years working with children, young people and families, to building a company that grew to employ more than 90 people, Tanny had created a life that looked successful from the outside. Then came the collapse: business, financial security, relationships, confidence and identity.
Now, in her mid 40s, she is rebuilding.
Not from a finish line.
From inside the rebuild.
This episode explores the questions many women eventually face. Why do we abandon ourselves to feel loved? Where is the line between compassion and self abandonment? How do we take responsibility for our choices without drowning in shame? And what changes when we stop asking, “Why did this happen to me?” and start asking, “What am I willing to change now?”
Tanny speaks openly about motherhood, relationships, burnout, recovery, spirituality, creativity, self worth, boundaries and rediscovering the woman buried beneath survival.
She also shares the reason she keeps getting back up: her daughter, and the lessons she wants the next generation of women to inherit about love, boundaries, strength and starting again.
This is the story of how The Goddess Movement was born.
Not from perfection. Not because everything was fixed. But while Tanny was still climbing.
Here, a goddess is not a woman with a flawless life. She is a woman learning to recognise her worth. A woman who has walked through hell and still gets up. Soft without abandoning herself. Powerful without pretending she is never afraid.
Still learning. Still healing. Still becoming. Still choosing to rise.
At the heart of the podcast is one belief:
Compassion without accountability can keep us stuck.
Accountability without compassion can fill us with shame.
We need both.
This podcast is for the woman rebuilding after heartbreak, trauma, addiction or recovery, financial hardship, burnout, unhealthy relationships, identity loss or years of putting everyone else first.
If you feel behind, broken, exhausted, ashamed, or wonder whether you have missed your chance, you haven’t.
You are not finished.
You are not too late.
And you are not starting from nothing.
Future episodes will feature everyday women with extraordinary stories, alongside qualified professionals and experienced guests sharing honest conversations, insight and practical tools for rebuilding and becoming.
If this speaks to you, follow From Breakdown to Badass and share it with a woman who needs reminding that her story is not over and the goddess within her is still there.
This is more than a podcast. It is a growing movement of women turning breakdowns into breakthroughs, pain into purpose and lived experience into power.
Welcome, Goddess.
We are only just getting started.

What happens when the life you worked so hard to build no longer looks anything like…
You build again.
From Breakdown to Badass is an honest, powerful and occasionally very inappropriate journey through resilience, reinvention and the beautifully messy process of becoming yourself again. I’m Tanny B... Mum, Entrepreneur, Business Owner, Community Services Professional, Former Company Director, Singer, Storyteller and a Woman rebuilding her life from the ground up.
A few years ago, parts of the life I had spent years creating began to unravel...business, relationships, financial security, confidence and identity. There were moments when I genuinely wondered how I had gone from standing on stages and running a company employing more than 90 people to trying to work out what the hell had happened to the woman I used to know. But quitting has never really been in my DNA. Maybe it’s resilience. Maybe it’s motherhood. Maybe it’s the Italian blood. Maybe I’m simply too stubborn to stay down. Probably all four.
And somewhere in one of the hardest chapters of my life, I began to notice something unexpected...
There was a gift hidden inside the wreckage.
Not because the painful things suddenly became okay, or because everything happens for a reason, but because losing so much forced me to look deeply at who I was, what I had tolerated, what I had forgotten about myself, and who I wanted to become next.
That is where The Goddess Movement began.
At the heart of it is the belief that every woman has a goddess within her, a powerful, intuitive, resilient version of herself that can become buried beneath survival, responsibility, heartbreak and self doubt. The Goddess Movement is about awakening that woman again...reconnecting with her worth, her voice, her power and the life she knows she is capable of creating.
This podcast isn’t being created after my transformation. The podcast is part of the transformation. You are hearing it as I live it. Through raw conversations, humour, lived experience and expert insight, we explore relationships, motherhood, trauma, recovery, addiction, boundaries, self worth, spirituality, business, identity, mental health, purpose, sexuality, friendship, starting again, and the uncomfortable things people often whisper about behind closed doors.
You’ll hear from professionals, inspiring guests and everyday women with extraordinary stories, women who have fallen, rebuilt, relapsed, recovered, learned, loved, lost, laughed and somehow kept moving forward.
There will be tears. There will definitely be swearing. There will be moments when I call myself out. And there will be absolutely no pretending that healing is always pretty. Because being a Goddess isn’t about having your shit together. It’s about learning your worth, taking responsibility for your life, protecting your peace and finding the courage to rise again, even when you’re still figuring out exactly how. If you’ve ever felt behind, broken, lost, ashamed, exhausted or wondered whether you’ve somehow missed your chance...You haven’t.
Your breakdown does not have to be the end of your story. Sometimes it becomes the place where the most powerful chapter begins.
Welcome to my podcast, From Breakdown to Badass.
Welcome to The Goddess Movement. We’re not waiting until we’re healed to start living.
We’re becoming Goddesses... together.
