Marine biologist Professor Richard Thompson was the first to identify microplastics on an Isle of Man beach 30 years ago. This week, he’s been at the UN Environment Programme headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, where delegates from around the world are working towards an international treaty on plastic pollution.
