Day five of the GodisaGeek Game of the Year 2024 deliberations is here, and it's the big one, with our top ten of the year.

Before we get to that, however, we do need to have a look forward to 2025. There are some very big games looming on the horizon, like Death Stranding 2, or even Metroid Prime 4. But as is tradition, before we get to our top ten games of 2024, we do have the small matter of a top five most anticipated of next year, to decide first.

After that though, it's what everyone comes for: the Game of the Year 2024 top ten list. Will there be any shocks, or surprises? People have been beavering away to finish some games they think might be contenders, and personal lists have been tweaked and finalised (hopefully!). So that's all that's left, then: what's the top ten, and who is the winner?

On this episode of the podcast it's time to discuss one of the year's biggest games in the form of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, among others.

The podcast returns and with it comes Lyle to chat lots about the latest Atlus RPG: Metaphor ReFantazio. Is it any good? Yes, probably.

Adam has also seen Metaphor: ReFantazio through to credits, which means he and Lyle have had little time for much else, actually. Well no, that's not true, since both the duo have also been playing through Silent Hill 2. No, not the original game, the much awaited remake. Has it been worth the wait? On the latest episode of the podcast, it's time to discuss a game that's been coming a very, very long time: UFO 50.

UFO 50 was actually announced back in 2017, and some 7 years later, all 50 games of UFO 50 are here to play, and Adam has been going through them slowly. You see, while these may look like smaller games as part of a collection, he explains that these are pretty much all fully fledged titles in their own right, with some caveats.

Elsewhere, another game that has been long on the "most wanted" list is here, in the form of The Plucky Squire. Can it deliver on more than looks? Does it live up to the expectations and hope of the team, who have all been dying to play it for what seems like forever?

One thing is for sure, the whiplash between the colourful, bright, cheery aesthetic of The Plucky Squire and UFO 50 and the nature of Frostpunk 2 is something, for sure. Thankfully Chris White is here to talk us through what is a fantastic game, but one you'll need to be ready for.
