This week on the show Marc chats with Jayden Bankes who is a a third generation waterfowl hunter in the Long Point, Ontario area.

Jayden is the grandson of master boat maker Ron Bankes who started Bankes Boats, a specialized North American manufacturer founded in 1968 that builds hand-laid fiberglass duck boats, layout boats, and scull boats.

Although the company has since sold, Jayden still hits the water with the boats that bear his surname.

This week on the show we talk a bit more about mental health, the social media dilemma and how putting the device down might help.

In a world where everything is "instant" and overwhelming, perhaps the right thing to do is to take a step back from the screen.

We've continued to notice that when we "check out" of our phones and become more present in our current surroundings, happiness follows.

We don't have all of the answers, but at least we try and tell it how we see it.

We hope you enjoy!!

Before TSS, OnX Hunt, social media and a whole lot of other turkey hunting stuff...there was Adrian Hare.

Ontario resident Adrian Hare has been hunting turkeys since 1988 and has developed a lot of knowledge over his almost 40 years of spending time in the Turkey woods.

Adrian was the first person in Canada to complete the Wild Turkey Grand Slam which consists of harvesting the four most common U.S. subspecies: the Eastern, Rio Grande, Merriam's, and Osceola (Florida). This is a feat that he has since accomplished several times more over his years.

He has also completed the Royal Slam which includes all four birds in the Grand Slam, plus the Gould's turkey (found primarily in Mexico and parts of the southwestern U.S.

Give a listen this week as Adrian tells some tales from his time in the turkey woods.

Enjoy!!
