The Book of Boba Fett has an identity crisis. Now what the hell does this even mean? This finale wasn’t bad per se, but I am confused as to what the purpose of this story now is. This entire episode is one giant battle. And for the most part I found it fairly entertaining. The action set pieces were cool, I liked for the most part all the different characters, Boba riding the rancor was awesome. But throughout the episode I questioned Boba Fett a lot. And it wasn’t the decisions he was making, but his character motivations. So the first 3 episodes mostly set up Boba’s relationship to the tusken raiders. I would assume that them all getting killed is what would have been his motivation for wanting to rule tatooine and keep it a safe place. Because he is tired of innocents getting hurt. Even though that doesn’t really line up with what little of him we saw in the original trilogy, I could accept it for the sake of the story. But in chapter 4, Boba tells Fennec that the reason he wants to rule tatooine is because he is tired of Bounty hunters getting killed by incompetant crime lords. Okay. This really has nothing to do with the tusken raiders, so I was hoping that in the final 3 chapters they would make that storyline more relevant. Chapters 5 and 6 didn’t really involve Boba, weird decision but okay fine. And now with this final chapter, I am confused as to what his motivations are. He keeps on telling the pykes and Cad Bane that the people of Mos Espa are his people, and it is his job to protect them. Noble, i suppose, but this doesn’t line up with the motivations he established earlier. How does him wanting to stop bounty hunters from dying translate to him wanting to protect innocent people? I guess you could argue that he’s just a good person now, and that he wants to destroy the like button for the youtube algorithm because he knows that would make the gold man's day, but why say the whole line about bounty hunters then? So after the long battle, boba saves the day and the streets of mos espa are safe. Then, completely out of the blue, Boba says that he’s not sure that ruling tatooine is for him and that someone else should do it. WHAT. You’re trying to tell me that this whole series was supposedly about him becoming a more empathetic person, someone who wants to rule with respect not fear, he was someone who wanted to protect his people from crime that has riddled the planet for decades, and when it’s all said and done, Boba just goes nah this isn’t for me? If someone is truly devoted to their ideals, they don’t just abandon them because they don’t think

Fan Expectations in Star Wars is a dangerous thing. The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 7 "In The Name of Honor" was released. This chapter of the book of boba fett (episode 7) features the final battle between the Pyke Syndicate, and Boba Fett. Even though we got to see The Mandalorian and Grogu, there are some major problems with this episode. Did fan expectations of the book of boba fett ruin the finale? Did fans expecting Han Solo or Ben Solo ruin it? In this video, i talk about how TDid Fan Expectations Ruin The Book of Boba Fett?

Will Grogu’s Decision Ruin The Mandalorian Season 2? The Mandalorian Season 2 Ended with Heartbreak, but not the kind that haunts you for weeks or even years to come, but the kind that makes you feel fulfilled. George Lucas always talked about how nothing will make you happier than helping other people. Don’t believe me this is an exact quote of his. Mando made the ultimate sacrifice by giving Grogu away to this warrior, a man he had never met. We know Luke Skywalker as a hero, a legend, a man who always puts himself before others, but all Mando see’s is a warrior. Mando knows he must do, for the betterment of the child, he must give him away to his own kind, a phrase he uses rather often. Mando removes his helmet so he could look upon Grogu with his own eyes, something Vader once did for his child. The consequences for Vader were death, and the consequences for Din Djarin are that he will no longer be welcomed by his mandalorian family, something we see in the book of boba fett chapter 5. Mando went through all this sacrifice so Grogu can live a life where he is safe, where he belongs, with his own kind.
Flash forward a certain unknown amount of time, Mando longs to see Grogu again. Despite the emotional goodbye we got about a year ago, Mando is now back to see his only family left, a child of a different species. He arrives with a gift, armor made from Mandalorian Beskar. In fact it is made with the same beskar from the spear Mando used to save and protect Grogu. Ahsoka Tano tells Mando the potential harm it can cause by going to see Grogu again. While Grogu is Mando’s only family left, Mando is Grogu’s family too. Grogu apparently is struggling to let go of his attachment to Mando, Luke notes this when chatting with Ahsoka. To no surprise, Mando makes the selfless decision to walk away and not say hello to Grogu, postponing their inevitable reunion. But gives one request to Ahsoka, that she give the armor to Grogu. So if he cannot protect the child, at least his beskar can. During a training session, Luke makes an important observation. He can sense Grogu’s attachment to Mando, and questions if he is even making the right decision in training him. He ultimately gives Grogu an ultimatum, choose the path of the jedi, or choose the path of the mandalorian. Many looked at the decision from Luke as one out of character, but I see this as a mature one. Instead of forcing the child to forgo his relationship to Mando like the old Jedi would have done, he gives Grogu a choice. The chapter ends with Grogu staring into the eyes of the viewer, with a decision to make.
Of course his decision has not yet been revealed at the time of making this video, but I’d like to believe that Grogu is going to choose the path of The Mandalorian. This makes the most amount of thematic sense. Ahsoka & Luke are both aware of Grogu’s attachments to Mando and they are both aware of what fear of loss can do to someone. Also I totally believe the narrative decision to remove the astromech droid seat from Mando’s new N1 starfighter was so Grogu can sit there. With every set up, there must be a payoff. Also it would be fairly weird from a storytelling perspective for Grogu to now choose the jedi. Logically if Grogu does choose the Jedi, he and Luke will remain where they are, and thus the viewer finding out this decision would be through another cutscene of just Luke and Grogu in a room. But if Grogu chooses Mando, then we will likely see Luke and Grogu show up to reveal this news to Mando, and thus the audience. This feels much more organic to me narratively. So assuming that Grogu does make the decision to abandon the way of the jedi for the way of the Mandalorian, does this ruin the finale of the mandalorian season 2. Mando spent a whole season risking his life so Grogu can get to this point, a place where he is safe and where he is with “his own kind,” again, pay very close attention to this phrase. If Grogu returns in the finale of the book of boba fett, that means Mando only spent 1 season away from Grogu before they are reunited, mind you a season of a show not called the mandalorian.

The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6 "From the Desert comes a stranger" left Grogu with a choice. To choose the path of the mandalorian or the path of the jedi. If Grogu chooses to go back to the mandalorian, does this ruin the finale of season 2 of the mandalorian? In this video, I discuss if Grogu's Decision will Ruin Mandalorian Season 2?

I am at a loss for words right now. Hey guys welcome to another video, my name is the gold man and today we’re going to be analyzing the book of boba fett chapter 6 and why it was not just amazing, but unbelievable. This chapter of this series serves mainly as the part of the chess game where you open up with whatever position to get your pieces into the right place. We were reintroduced to a fair amount of characters in the episode that may or may not play a role in chapter 7. We get Luke and Grogu training on whatever planet they’re on. We got Ahsoka who appears to not play a factor in what’s going to happen next week. My boy Cobb Vanth was reintroduced and boy do I love that character. And we got our first live action interpretation of Cad Bane, which definitely excited most people. Narratively there is so much going on here, and this chapter really provides context for why these two most recent chapters really had nothing to do with Boba Fett. The first 4 chapters were all about setting up Boba Fett and what this conflict would be. The pykes vs whatever Boba Fett’s group is called. Chapter 4 ends with the main crew needing to bring on some muscle as they described it. I guess they’re going for this large scale battle if you will so they decided to take their time to flesh out these other players that were involved. In that respect that was a smart narrative choice, you don’t want to rush the return of Mando or the return of Luke and Grogu. These are important characters that need further time of development. I can’t help but feel a lot of these narrative choices could have been kept and Boba Fett could have tagged along. Like show the first half of chapter 5 and once Mando lands he meets up with Boba Fett, Mando is like hey I need to go see Grogu can I borrow slave 1, and Boba will say sure, I’ll come along. Yeah we don’t get the exciting sequence where Mando get’s the Naboo starfighter, but you can save that scene for maybe the beginning of Mando season 3, a show that is actually supposed to focus on Mando. Boba Fett can take Mando to meet Grogu and same thing
