Ironically, I recorded this episode 2 weeks ago and held back on releasing it because I judged myself for sounding dumb. Didn't even listen to it after I recorded. Got in a flow state today and gave it a shot, and really liked what I put out, so here it is. It's crazy how judgment can destroy so many possibilities and ideas.

How often do you judge yourself? I've been observing myself during this time, and it's become very apparent how hard I am on myself. In this episode, I walk you through my mental health struggles and pursuit of peace. I share my horrible and hopeful thoughts. Experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day. That's an average of 2500 – 3,300 thoughts per hour. I hope my story can help you process whatever is going inside of you, too. 

In this episode, Steph (co-founder of Powerwolf Athletics) and I talk about our outlook on COVID-19 and how we choose to use our time. We talk about how these times are testing us. How we've felt hopeless and hopeful. Despite the rollercoaster, we see this as an opportunity to continue moving towards our goals. Recognizing our privilege. Reflecting inwards. Remembering what's important. Choosing to not be stagnant. Doing something about it.

I've been going to therapy and in this episode, I share with you what I've learned about my trauma. Trauma around fear of rejection, abandonment, betrayal, judgement, of them turning their backs on me. I hope it gives you the courage to face your own darkness because on the other side of that is freedom and happiness.

In this episode I cover my view of work. I answer the questions: Why work? What's work for? What defines worthwhile work? I also talk about the roles of my commitments outside of my professional work. 

This episode is dedicated to World Mental Health Day. I spoke at the Powerwolf Gala on October 5, 2019, and the speech was about societal expectations and the masks we wear. Specifically, I talked about toxic masculinity and the journey to learn to accept all parts of myself. This is an attempt at recreating that speech. Not very clean, but hey the first step to dispelling the mental health stigma is to speak up.  

Before diving into the topic of work, I talk about my life view. It's important to have a life view and work view because they'll serve as a compass to helping you make difficult decisions. It guides you to make choices that do not waste your time and answers the question - Are your sacrifices and commitments aligned with what you value most? 

I touch on my metrics of Love and Play within the realm of Designing Your Life. When work sucks you gotta find a way to reframe it and double down in other areas. 

I talk about how I design my life: Health, Love, Play, Work. This episode goes into how I'm currently doing and how I take care of myself in the realm of health. I view health as mental, physical, and spiritual. 

This episode is a freestyle recording where I share with you my stream of consciousness on why I feel complacent and lost despite knocking off the things on my checklist.
