We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to bring your attention to #blacklivesmatter. Racism is deeply embedded in our society and we want to promote a couple ways you can help address the inequities of Black people. First, the ACLU Civil Liberties Fund. The ACLU Racial Justice Program aims to preserve and extend constitutionally guaranteed rights to people who have historically been denied their rights on the basis of race. You can learn more and/or donate at https://www.aclu.org/issues/racial-justice
If you can give please do. There’s also ways to help that don't involve money. If you have questions or don't know where to get started please reach out to us.
Next week we will return to our regularly scheduled program. If you are looking for something to listen to in the mean time please check out, Larry Wilmore: Black on the Air, Code Switch, and Best Friends with Nicole Byer and Sasheer Zamata. It's another way to support Black voices.
