The Bible says that each one of us, individually, will one day appear before God and be judged with eternal consequences. But this judgement is not only about us. The book of Revelation focuses on the culmination of the great controversy with Lucifer—that rebel angel who challenged the justice, fairness, and wisdom of God. Revelation’s final judgement is the very centre of this conflict over God’s character. Today’s lesson will see that the judgement vindicates not only us, but God too.
