The Good News

Lazarus and the Rich man is a story we're all too familiar with. What does it look like to live in comfort while others suffer? What is Jesus trying to get at with this story? Could it be more than money? There are many questions one could ask about this passage of scripture. I invite you to wrestle with the application of this story.

Luke 15 can be rightfully dubbed as God's 'lost and found department'. What does it look like to be lost and what does it look like to be found? Should we cast ourselves into the parable as the lost sheep/coin in Luke 15? Perhaps we should wrestle with what it looks like to be lost and found.

I think it's safe to say we know exactly what division looks like in our personal lives. Perhaps we see it in families, cities, and even nations. The effects of division can get ugly pretty quick. So what does it mean when Jesus says he came "not to bring peace but division"?

What can we get from a message about a prophet, a prostitute, and the discipline of prayer? These are stories I consider to be double take messages, upon first glance they force you to double take and ask yourself what it is you are seeing. I invite you to listen as we try to make sense of this together

This story often dubbed, "the Good Samaritan" is a common one told. There are few parables as widely known as this one. So what is it about? How can we understand this parable in a way that forms us to be more like Christ? Take a listen as we unpack what it might mean for us modern day Christians

Post-resurrection Jesus seems to be hard to recognize. It seems that for the disciples, it was also difficult to recognize what to do next. What does it mean to be a follower of the way of Jesus Christ? To tend his lambs and feed His sheep is a good start!

Belief is the focal point of all Christians. Some pretty unbelievable things happen in the Bible and in our lives. What happens when we start questioning God? What is God's response when we have troubles believing the things we see and don't see? I invite you to listen as we dance with these ideas.

Often times, we focus on the death of Jesus as the monumental moment of love. However, the resurrection is just as important. How does the cross go from being an instrument of death and become a sign of hope? It's through the resurrection!
