Pastor Jason Mayhall teaches at Redemption Bible Church. This week, we hear another story told by Jesus, The Good Samaritan, in the sermon series entitled "Parables of Jesus." A parable is a story within a larger story, often centered on surprising behavior by one of the characters. This story centers on an individual who is challenged to show that he loves God, and expresses it by loving and caring for others the way we care for ourselves. Through this parable, we hear how we need to help meet the needs of our neighbor in the same way we meet our own needs.
