The Good Shepherd

As such, He stood in stark contrast to the leaders of His day and set the example for other human shepherds in the Church who He would appoint. The Good Shepherd knows His sheep by name, binds up their wounds, protects them from danger, goes after those who are lost and lays His life down for His sheep.
