Have you ever been to New York City? If you have, you most likely know of a little suburb called Chinatown. Chinatown is a densely populated neighborhood that attracts many tourists with its Southeast Asian restaurants and shops. There are not many stories in scripture that compel me to deliver the hope of the Gospel then the story of Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. In Acts 8 we find a the beautiful drama of how God meets a humble servant of the Lord with a powerful and distinguished man with many questions. I believe it testifies of God’s value on one eternal soul and proclaims to the world that He is “…not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).
An in-depth look at this short story, provides us with a blueprint on how to effectively share our faith with others. It is practical, punctual and powerful! Notice these truths...

Do you remember as a kid being all excited that you had a magnifying glass? Or what about putting a quarter in the binocular machine at the zoo to see the giraffes and elephants from far away. There was something so satisfying about observing nature up close and personal. It piqued your curiosity to learn and motivated you to get engaged with the world around you.
I wonder what would happen if we were just as intent on the souls of men? I wonder whose life would be changed if we were up close and personal with the lost world around us.
Are you focused on the souls of men?
In this episode, we share some biblical insights that will encourage our eyes to stay fixed on the mission of Gospel and live with a consciousness of eternal souls.

“The proof is in the pudding!” they always say! Facts are facts and that’s just the fact of it!
Facts tell us a lot about what needs to be done. We introduced in our last article the idea of being soul focused and the importance of fulfilling our responsibility to tell others about Jesus. Diving into the facts, will help us realize there is indeed a Demand, Delusion, and Devastation.

What is the most neglected Christian responsibility in our day? The answers to these questions will likely vary but I truly believe with all my heart that bringing souls to Jesus would be at the top of the list.
For the next four weeks, we are going to dive into Soul Focused and discover the basic elements of winning people to Jesus.
But what if I am scared to talk to people?
Where do I start?
How much is “too much?”
What if they start to argue with me?
They just got saved, now what?
These are questions we all have but thankfully Jesus has all the answers! Here’s a sneak peak of Soul Focused...

Entitlement sees others through greedy lenses. We have all been guilty. We see the Jones family across the street with a new car that we know they can't afford and something wells up inside of us. We start making slighted remarks about how they don’t deserve a new car because of the way they take care of their house or that we should be the one with a new car since we actually work hard for our money. I truly believe that a strong envy for the world is one of God’s greatest enemies.
We pick up where we left off last week and dig down into the root system of entitlement and find God's cure of this selfish attitude!
