Paul and Sophie of SP Filmviewers join in in the pregame to Folktober to explore the captivating, depressing, beautiful and at times hopeful dreamscapes of Akira Kurosawa in Dreams. A return of the legendary director in eight vignettes that document his fears and hopes for the future in a semi-autobiographical history of not only Kurosawa but Japan itself. All with little overtone that sometimes the old ways were the right ways.
