The Good, The Bad & The Hungee AEW Podcast

A good week of AEW TV ends with a weaker second hour of Dynamite. Ain't that just the AEW way. We talk about that show, and some of the good stuff & bad stuff that's going on in the company, including the Rey Fenix and Willie Mack drama.

Please like, share, and subscribe so we won't get frozen out for the rest of our contracts.

Tyler & Fred have a come to Jesus discussion. AEW's TV ratings have hit meaningful lows that are fair to classify as "dramatic" or, at least, "concerning." Fred & Tyler talk about how they got here and how the road to recovery is not going to be easy. Plus a catch up on the news, and Fred's brief thoughts on C2 matches thrown in.

If you're an AEW homer and don't like to listen to negative things about the company, this ain't the one for you. If you're a realist, this is hopefully a good convo. It's good, actually, to be critical of media you enjoy.

Either way, we start with about ten minutes on the college football playoff.

Tyler & Fred reconvene to talk about Ricky Starks' interview where he says he doesn't understand why he's stuck at home, either. They then talk about the Full Gear PPV, what worked and what didn't. Top it off with a little C2 talk, and then it's time for Turkey Day. Happy Holidays, everyone.

Tyler and Fred reunite return from a month off to talk about AEW and the build to Full Gear with the return of the world famous heat check. And boy, what a build it's been (negative). Fred & Tyler talk about the different ways AEW's fumbled the build of multiple matches, even with a card that has several very promising matches. Hopefully we have a more optimistic tone to take after this show.

Fred's alone again this week, so he talks about his Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame ballot and the current state of his FSM 50 ballot. Most of the conversation is about his view on the modern US/Canada candidates, so if you're interested in that, check it out!

Tyler and Fred reunite to break down a very good AEW pay-per-view in WrestleDream, which included a very promising angle at the end of the show! We then talk about the follow up for that angle on the successive Dynamite, and the strengths and flaws of AEW's approach. We also touch on just a little news, but this is a recap heavy episode.

Fred is doing it solo once more. He covers the news in AEW, including the re-signing of Daniel Garcia, and then talks about the upcoming WrestleDream card. It looks good on paper, but there's been some worrying trends in AEW in general, and Fred talks about those. Then Fred talks a little about his current FSM50 ballot.

We break down the details of it, and talk about the Fox negotiations that are an open secret. Then we discuss two very questionable booking decisions from the fifth anniversary Dynamite.

Tyler & Fred return to talk about all the latest with AEW. The company's on the precipice of a new TV deal, and there's lots of rumors that it's going to be a sea change for where the company's shows live. All Out's in the books, and we talk about the good & bad of the show (not too much hungee this time). Then we briefly talk about Fred's trip to the post-PPV Dynamite.
