The Good Works Show

This week, we're speaking with Kevin Hood, one of Goodwill's Skills Instructors. He talks about his career journey with Goodwill and coaching strategies for success.

On today's episode, we're joined by guest Alicia Battle, Senior Director for Mission Partnerships here at Goodwill of North Georgia. She explains what exactly a Career Center is, what is offered to job seekers there, and how we help fulfill our mission to put people to work.

She also shares a little bit about her personal career journey - which includes multiple positions here at Goodwill.

This season, we're doing things a little different. Typically, The Good Works Show highlights other nonprofit organizations in the Atlanta area on the great work they're doing for the community. We've had amazing guests on the show, but this season our goal is to answer questions about Goodwill that goes beyond donations and shopping.

This season will be a deep dive into what Goodwill does beyond donations and retail. We'll answer questions such as: How do we fulfill our mission to put people to work? How do donations and shopping fuel that mission? How do I get a job through Goodwill? How do I make a career change?

This season will be all about jobs, Goodwill, our mission to put people to work, personal career journeys, and more. If you're looking for a job, better job, or a career, this is the podcast for you.
