Day 3 of my 30-day challenge to shift my identity from the woman I’ve been to the woman I’ve always dreamed of being. For women on a non-traditional path especially, it is the shifting of one’s identity within that is the most important and the most difficult.

The most natural thing for women to do is to allow - to be in the flow of doing what is right for me, what feels right for me, and knowing that I have and am all that I need to address any urgent needs - like deadlines and such. And we women (and men as well, as or erstwhile “teachers”) have learned to do the opposite, so I have spent some years deconditioning myself.

Now I am practicing allowing. I am practicing the easing into happiness in ways that may be small, but feel to me incredibly important. Because it is a daring thing to choose happiness even for a moment. We are far more accustomed to struggle.

So here I have done what feels right and as a result I have applied to TWO speaking opportunities, and that hadn’t happened before! GOOD ON ME! I have made a start!

Now, in the video I said I would send it first - and here it is, 10PM and I’m only sending it now.

I remember my friend and podcast mentor, Bri, telling me that she sees me in my business moving up and down - kind of like an airplane trying to get off the tarmac - and then taking off. I like it. I’ll take it.

I persevere. It’s what I do. It’s how I came out of homelessness. I’ve also backed off many, many, many times. Sometimes for good reasons and sometimes … not so much for good reasons.

But this time, I’m not backing off.

The difference this time? How. It. Feels. And How. I. Approach. It.

No more fire drill-like pushing. Allowing. Finding things to appreciate and feel good about it each day. Just having good days.

Law of Attraction likes that, by the way: it’s exactly what invites it to do its thing.

Now, on to Day 4. (And by the way, though I went to the pool, I still have my laundry to do. I’m planning to use inspired action to enjoy the hell out of it.)

With Dumptruck in our consciousness, the grief, fear and revulsion are real. The only answer is spiritual/vibrational. Learning HOW to do this is key. It used to be considered woo-woo - put down because it is based in the feminine which is ALWAYS put down - but the woo-woo is actually the cutting edge of physics. While this is the time of the year that Christians invite the rest of the spiritual/religious world to think about Jesus - and I’m a fan of that enlightened Jewish master but not the religion that others chose to tie him to 200 years later - I am thinking about divine births for the rest of us.

Remember that whole “what I do you shall do” situation he spoke about? He wasn’t lyin’. It’s time for the blast-off of the divine feminine.

Now, back in November 2023, Elizabeth Gilbert - redoubtable human being, woman, and incredible writer extraordinaire - gave a talk. And you must listen to this thing. It is absolutely a “holy shit!” piece of writing and her delivery is naturally flawless. A friend sent this to me tonight and I lost my mind watching it - in a good way, of course!

Watching this got me all “het-up” as they say in the south, and I went on a rant (the video of me, above). And it’s important to me to share the rant with you because first of all I’m going against the traditional gain and creating a whole range of courses and communities that serve everyone from the woman looking for tarot coachings, to women needing to network but hating how it’s set up. I’m changing the networking game by adding personal growth and community communication to it.

I’m getting ready to release a whole bunch of new things in a business that has suddenly got feet under it (!!!). But the Big Release really is that of me taking on a new mantra: fuckit, speak it!

I’m not accustomed to talking about the spiritual with as much confidence as I speak about speaking up.

But something shifted for me in the past two weeks - I know it’s the shifted energy which Pluto (which I never thought of in my life until a month ago) created by leaving my Sun sign - Capricorn - a few weeks ago. This has shifted the energy in a biiiiiiiiig way for us Cappies. Plus, nationally there is an enormous amount of underground energy going on politically at the same time as we’re having a - er - holiday. And I’ve been listening to people on YouTube who are really tuned in to what’s happening politically as well as energetically, and what they have to say is making me feel secure in knowing that it’s all going to be okay.

I’m not just believing these people because I wanna. I’m feeling the truth of what they’re speaking. And I’ve come to a place in my spiritual/personal work where I have sufficiently deepened my faith in my own feeling Truths. It’s a great place to be. It’s the right place to be! I have the answer to my long ago question I directed to Amma, “What. Is. Faith?”

In short, her answer is a greeting card I still have decades later. It said: “Real faith is having faith in one’s own self.” ~Amma.

At last, a place to put my feet, even if sometimes I misread where my feet are actually planted. But I think my last big error in that sense is now behind me. Thank goodness.

So here at last is my coming out, in a sense. I’m talking in my video as my complete self - everything from the fiery (Elizabeth Gilbert mentions Kali and Durga, the Hindu goddesses that you do not want to mess with!), to the not-at-all-polite (a.k.a. swearing, but you’re used to that), to what I know about the needed Rise of the Badass Women.

So, I hope one of these or both inspire you!

Lastly, this is holiday time. Doesn’t feel like the holidays to me. But they are the holidays. And my birthday is December 24th while the 45th anniversary of my mother’s death date just passed on December 10th. Weird month for me, December.

We must find things to appreciate and to love during this time. Appreciating and loving each other would be a good place to start.

I admit it: I despaired when the stolen election results came in, but I’m fresh out of despair now. Now I’ve chosen my seat in the arena, and it’s a seat in the section with all of the women who want to stand up in quiet and immovable certainty of their own worth and immutable divine feminine boundaries (as Liz speaks of), and all of the people of all sexual identities, orientations and sexes who are ready to create a brand new world.

Together.

You are the miracle - you always were…

Understanding - and experiencing - how we can literally lift ourselves is absolute gold. Actually, what’s truer is that it’s priceless.

Imagine if we could all lift our energies at will and thus cut so deeply into the darkness that it fled, like roaches in the sudden turning on of the kitchen light. This is what I believe we are called to do now, both individually and together.

If we could all lift our energies, if we could all understand how it is possible that energies lifted can create massive shifts in reality, we would know that there is NEVER anything to fear and we would be coming together to co-create in whatever those ways are that call to us, be it meditation or visualization or creating art that reflects our highest excitement!

Despairing is normal. But do we not want to be better than just “normal”? We may not know how to do that yet, but we have to learn. We have to insist that we learn. For that purpose I have created this podcast and am inviting you to indicate your level of interest in and commitment to learning how to experience this truth, know this truth, and then spread this truth together so that we literally turn this bitch around.

Know what I’m sayin’?

I know you do.

It’s been a wild ride this year. I take responsibility for my own experiences, though. I’m just entering into my intentional co-creativity in some deeper ways.

So I thought I’d bring you with me.

I’m breaking rules and it seems kind to warn people, and to let people know that the wings I’m growing WILL be multi-colored and very, very big! Kind of like Nimona’s wings in the movie of the same name (Netflix - completely awesome movie), though hers aren’t colorful like mine.

Forget everything about resolutions. Know instead that you are fabulous. That you have abilities you haven’t discovered yet. That you can do it, whatever it is. And that I believe in you because you are a beautiful, marvelous human.

You are magic.

I had an epiphany about how we can use this time - whether we love it or it kicks our ass.

Listen, this is a complicated month. It always is.

I wish you whatever it is that you need either to enjoy, or to get through, the rest of this year and emerge into the next one.

For me, I’m just always about breaking the rules, and that’s what this podcast is about.

I’m stubborn.

And apparently I came into this life wanting to have the Full Healing Package: “I’ll take the core healing, please!”. Jeez. Lori, what were you thinking?

I was thinking I want what I’ve been promised by all of the beliefs that I hold as Truths-with-a-capital-T, and I want to LIVE what I’ve perceived as Truth. So I have used my life as a cruc…

You can tell that I am excited about this guy - certainly not a woman - and it is because he made such a consciousness shift into seeing the world in ways that incorporate the feminine, meaning the creative, the emotional, the communicative, and the interpersonally strategic.

As I say in the interview, “VERY EXCITING!”

Blaine is onto something so big and it goes beyond the Marketing he transforms wherever he goes. I call him my "emotional stealth bomb" of the corporate C-Suites.

See, one of the cardinal “sins” of being “feminine” - whether a woman or a man - is that of showing that you are having emotions. You are supposed to seem dispassionate and rational - more machine than human.

But Blaine Millett goes into the C-Suite boardrooms and initiates the realization AND the appreciation - from a Marketing perspective at the very least (a NICE open door!) - of emotion’s place in business.

For this I love him. His balance of masculine and feminine perspective is what will bring new and healthy behaviors and results into our workplaces. And that is so long overdue!

If you’ve ever been on medications that leave you shipwrecked when you try to get off of them, you will want to hear this story.

It’s crazy. I’ve been off of the meds for 17 days. I’m still on the detox journey but what I am not is depressed, which is what the meds were treating me for. So that makes this one helluva question fest!

If I’m not taking what was helping me with depression - and I’m not depressed when off of them - then…what happened???

Remember: I’m not recommending that you follow my actions, and I am also certainly not telling you that I can be any kind of doctor or medical advisor of any sort whatsoever. What I’m recommending is some ways in which you can be more you, have more quality of life, and rethink what you can actually ask your life to be.
