Pain doesn't have to be a monster in your life. What if you saw it as your teacher? In this episode, Gordon and Cherise dive deep into the way they've both been changed by God's grace through the years and how pain has been an instrument to move them forward and beyond the "give up" attitude.
You will confront fears that are bigger than you and will no doubt be changed through the pain experience - but who do you want to become through this process?
Join us as we stay curious with our pain, instead of living in judgment of it.

Don’t allow your personal outbursts to pain (no matter how justified they might be) define who you are and how you’re going to respond behaviorally when times are especially challenging. Let go of the power of pain! Suffering grows you deeper spiritually. Allow your light to shine brighter to others, though pain tries to show the worst parts of your identity.
In this episode Gordon & Cherise dive deep into those times when chronic pain might feel like too much, the times when we might be tempted to lash out at the people around us. We talk about the opportunities these times represent, and the growth and transformation that can ultimately come about when you forgive yourself, forgive others, and forgive your pain.
Join us as we talk about real issues facing millions of people around the world and learn to live better, despite chronic pain:

As you are celebrating this holiday season, pay attention and listen to what the World is signaling to each one of us. The themes of diluting hope ring loudly in this current world. The momentum of global, national and individual problems is growing out of control like a fast-acting virus without a cure.
Yet we must remember the message about the Christ-filled Hope we have in Jesus. From a baby in a manger to the perfect sacrifice on the cross, we have a messiah who brought redemption to the world. The Messiah would sacrifice His life for the sins of the whole world. He makes us born-again to everlasting life.
Join us in this conversation about who JESUS is and what our IDENTITY is in him!

Suffering strengthens your inner person to recognize who the real enemy is. Although it may seem like it, pain isn’t necessarily your enemy.
John 10:9-10 tells us that, ”The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly”. We have an enemy that wants to defeat us before we even take our first step of change.
When the storms of life come, and the enemy comes against you or your family or your nation, do not become deceived by the sounds of destructive chaos around you. The Spirit is Life.

What does an abundant life look like for you? God wants us inflamed with passion towards becoming that new person in Christ and to be fully in love with who he is. As your journey continues on through your pain, you have the opportunity to grow deeply in your intimacy with God and with those around you.
The ability to endure painful trials through our faith in Christ synthesizes pain and suffering into transformation. The righteous fall because they are continually fighting a battle. The righteous are raised upwards in their stature. Their identity is fully intact because of who God is.
Even when you fall, you can get back up again. We are called to overcome this world by our faith!

Your response to pain is essential to the road to recovery.
The pain-ridden stories we see and hear about every day reveal why Christ died for the misery of sins and the uninvited destruction in our lives. When we allow God's spirit lead us inwardly to experience the image of what a suffering Christ looks like within us, then God can empower us to lend a hand upwards to someone else who is walking through unspeakable suffering or oppression.
It is then that stories turn from individualistic storylines of agony into narratives of transformation.
What is your response to pain?

This week, we are continuing our conversation from last week about being stuck in the bottom of the pit. It can feel impossible to start you life again when you've been in that place for so long. Yet, if we keep stuffing the pain deeper, we are unable to move forward in transformation.
While suffering in itself does not necessarily benefit us, it can be a good thing depending upon how we respond to it. We must choose to respond to His love, not our pain. Let your pain move you into HIM!
