In this episode, Alisha & Lacey finish their four-part discussion on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you're just joining us, be sure to check out the previous 3 parts of this discussion on our podcast as well as the blogs Lacey and Alisha wrote this month. Today's discussion lays out more ways we can tangibly "Live Risen!" As always, thank you for joining us as we love God, learn truth, and live transformed.
Today in our discussion of the Resurrection, we dive into the application portion. "How can I actually do this?" Because, as we always say, we don’t want just head knowledge. So today Alisha and Lacey will walk us through some of the points Alisha shares with us in her blog about how we can actually apply the Truth of the resurrection to our daily lives. Again I will remind you to check out the previous Resurrection episodes so you can be caught up and know what it is we’re applying. Okay, are you ready? Let’s talk truth…
In this week's episode, Alisha and Lacey continue their conversation about the resurrection. If you didn’t listen to the previous episode or read Lacey’s blog from last week, you’ll definitely want to do that so you can have a little background. We’re going to be dialing down on the application of living as "Resurrection Women." But first, what does that even mean?? Why is it important? And we'll define some more terms, as well. This is a shorter episode so here we go… let’s talk truth.
Listen in to Part 1 of 4 as Alisha Illian and Lacey Stevenson discuss the truth about the gospel and Jesus’ resurrection. What are we missing by only celebrating the full story and work of Christ on Easter? You’ll also hear one of the best explanations of the gospel (in our humble opinion, of course) as well as so much more. You will definitely want to listen twice or take some notes! Be sure to check out the corresponding blog that drops today as well. Head over to our website to hear more from Lacey!
Ivy Neal and Amber Newman wrap up this month's look at emotions as well as their discussion on Amber's blog, "Flipping Tables." They chat about the importance of a (right) view of God when it comes to anger plus practical application for our own lives. We've saved a part of the conversation that might step on a few toes for the monthly Rally Women edition of our newsletter. This is the issue with all the extras you won’t find on social media or our podcast channel. If you’re not already signed up for our newsletter click here so you're ready!
We continue our series this month on emotions and the gospel; this time with a look at anger. Ivy Neal takes the interviewer's seat to discuss the topic with this week's blog author, Amber Newman. They will look at our own feelings toward anger, what the opposite of anger really is, God's attributes, as well as righteous anger. Join us for part 1 of this discussion and don't forget to check out the corresponding blog for a more in depth look! Also, we announce in this episode our gift-away! We will choose one random winner each day from March 24-27th. To enter, simply leave an honest rating + review in your podcast app. Don't forget to include your IG handle or email address in the review so we can contact you. Good luck!
In part 2 of our anxiety discussion, Ivy dives deeper into how our view of God affects our battle. We also discuss community and give some tips to those who are finding themselves as a confidant to someone with anxiety. This episode is packed with encouragement and Truth—don't forget to check out Ivy's blog and share with a friend!
In this episode, Ivy and Amber discuss the elephant in the room—anxiety. If it's not directly touching your life, you likely have a close friend or relative that struggles with excessive worry, an anxiety disorder, or who falls somewhere in between. Today Ivy shares her experience with anxiety, some helpful tips, and we also give some encouragement to those requiring clinical intervention. Don't forget to check out Ivy's corresponding blog and join us this month as we discuss how the truth of the gospel affects our most prevalent emotions and struggles.
In this episode of The Gospel Changes Everything, Alisha dives into a hot topic - racial reconciliation and Biblical justice. Though this may seem like a cultural issue, it’s actually a spiritual one The problems in our culture are real. The sin of racism is real. However, the answers are not found in the world's proposed solution of Critical Race Theory (CRT). In this episode, Alisha will define terms and explain the worldview behind this framework. As always, this episode will point back to the truth of the gospel. The key to Biblical unity within the church is not to overturn societal structures, but for the Lord to transform our hearts and minds.
