Jesus fulfills the meaning and function of the Old Testament temple, to our great benefit.

Why are so many in the world disbelieving? Jesus says it is because people are born in spiritual darkness, functionally blind to seeing/understanding spiritual truth.

The message of Palm Sunday is that Jesus is a king.  He's a king who achieves blessing for His people beyond the hopes of those who praised Him with palm branches that day.

The resurrection is reason to believe that Jesus is the Christ.

Rejoice that Jesus is your king, for as your king He is your shepherd who leads you into blessedness and satisfaction.

Through the faithful king, Jesus, we can have a prosperity of soul.

It is good news that Jesus is the king, because the king is the final judge, too.  Jesus, as king, provides true and complete justice, in grace and love to His people (and that's good news!).

God's king took upon himself the punishment God's people deserved for their sins and established justice for the people.  Jesus, our king, did this in the gospel, too.

That Jesus is a king is the good news because as king, Jesus fulfills the kingly roles of enabling His people to worship acceptably (and to have joy from that) and of defeating our enemy of death to forge for us a secure place to live (now, upon death, and upon His return).
