While study scripture I ran across this statement  Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Spirit of God

I didn’t understand that so I went to the Dictionary-Concordance in the bible and looked up grieve to cause someone pain or sorrow

It also referred to Eph 4:30

I pulled out my ESV Study Bible and looked at Eph 4:30 The footnote referred to 1 Thes 2:12 I looked at my NIV bible and the cross reference referred me to Eph 4:1

This is the verse that I feel answered my question what does it mean And do not grieve the Spirit of God

In reviewing my 1975 Yearbook from B.T Washington High School I found a classmate’s comments very spiritual. She said Smile Jesus loves you! I remember at the time she was crazy. It turns out I was the crazy one. We were the first graduating class of the newly built high school and i accepted Jesus as my savior in 1978. Thank you Debbie!

When I rush things I tend to make mistakes and break things. Don't rush the Holy Spirit.

"Love"

Jesus said: My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. (John 15:12)

I give attention to the love you have poured out into my heart. (Romans 5:5)

To obey the way of love is to obey your commandments.

Your love in me is patient, kind, and doesn't envy.

Your love in me doesn't boast, is not proud, rude, self seeking nor easily angered.

Your love in me keeps no record of wrongs, harbors no ill will, resent, but practices forgiveness.

Your love in me does not delight in evil, rejoices with the truth, hopes, perseveres, never fails. (1 Corinthians 13)

I follow the way of love.

With my mind I will learn love and think love.

With my heart I will follow love and in my talk I will speak love. Jesus is Lord of my life; therefore love rules my life

"Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by my Father and I too will love Him and show Myself to Him." John 14:21

A new command I give you. Love one another as I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

(John 13:34, 35)
