Lots of great wisdom and observations are shared in this interview with Bro. Mike Washeck. He shares his experience in standing up for the truth and having conviction for the things of God, and he offers some great advice for the youth of our day.For some reason the camera never recorded my face, but this isn't an issue. If you'd like to reach out to Mike, you can reach him and his contact info on our website: https://www.thegospelproclamation.com/post/interview-with-bro-mike-washeck
Brother Jim and Sister Thelma Haagen share their experience of learning the truth, married life in the truth, ways to help teach our youth, and the importance of prioritizing the truth.
Thelma mentioned a pamphlet that she has used for many years to help teach children 8 years old and younger but was unable to find the book. She later shared that it is called "The Christadelphian Instructor" by Robert Roberts. You can buy it from the Christadelphian Library at the link below: https://christadelphianlibrary.com/products/thechristadelphianinstructor-roberts?_pos=1&_sid=4dcc8aa53&_ss=r
In this in-person interview, we speak with Bro. Pete Washeck while we were both at the New Mexico Bible School. Pete shares his experience in the truth and the incredible lessons he's learned about being dedicated to the truth, preaching, and standing up for what we believe. He was even imprisoned as a conscientious objector for refusing the Vietnam war draft, and his story is a great lesson in the work of the angels in our lives today.
This great conversation was lengthy, so we trimmed the video down to conserve time. We had our meeting in a classroom and my voice echoes some, so be sure to have your volume turned up.
When will Israel be given a new heart and the new covenant be made with them? Must Israel be overrun and scattered again? What will happen when Israel sees Jesus? We examine the Scriptural testimony on these subjects to learn what is in store for the nation.
What is "the mystery" of God? What are "the keys of the Kingdom" and what are they used for? We examine these and many other similar important questions in light of the Scriptural testimony. This subject is integral to the revelation of the Gospel in Christ, yet they are misunderstood by many of today.
Note: there is one part where we reference Acts 10:11 which speaks of a "sheet knit at the four corners". We were speaking fast and "sheet" and "knit" were accidentally joined into one word, and the word that came out as a result surprised us as much as it did the audience! It was obviously a simple twist of the tongue, but one we wish to point out as accidental.
Our goal with Wisdom of the Elders is to learn, preserve, and share the wisdom that the elder brothers and sisters of Christ have gained from their years of experience in the truth. In our first interview, we were pleased to meet with a lively and enthusiastic brother in Ontario: Murray Chisholm.
Please note that there was a 15 second period when someone knocked at Murray's door, and that part alone has been trimmed out.
If anyone would like to connect with Brother Murray, you may contact him at [email protected].
What is God's love and how does it relate to man? We allow the Scriptures to explain its import and how man can obtain the wondrous blessings of God's love.
Should Christadelphians celebrate Christmas? Given on Christmas day 2022, this exhortation explores the ancient origin of the famous holiday and its relation to the Lord's servants.
World War I was a significant milestone that not only saw the fulfillment of certain ancient prophecies, but also shed new light on how to understand some that still remain to be fulfilled. This had a drastic impact on Christadelphian understanding of latter-day prophecies. We explain it all here in this exhortation.
God's plan of salvation is a plan of restoration to undo the wrongs done in Eden. When Christ returns, he will enact the "restitution of all things" (Acts 3:21) and has promised the faithful a part in a restored Eden: "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God" (Revelation 2:7). We explain this wondrous promise in this talk.
