I’m so glad you’re here. Church, whenever Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of Heaven, He didn’t give us long theological lectures. He gave us parables — living windows into spiritual reality. 

These stories reveal how God’s Kingdom actually works in a world that often feels completely upside down. And if we’re honest, every generation asks the same hard questions.

Questions that rise up when we look at the chaos around us, the struggles in the church, and even the battles in our own hearts.

Church, there are some prisons built with iron bars… and there are some prisons built inside the human heart.

Jesus speaks in this passage about conflict, forgiveness, correction, repentance, mercy, and judgment. And if we are honest, every one of us has walked into this room carrying scars from people who wounded us.

Some wounds are small. Some wounds changed the direction of our lives.

And yet Jesus gives His disciples a challenge: not merely to receive forgiveness from God…   but to become people who forgive others.

Because forgiven people are supposed to become forgiving people.

Beloved, today we stand at the shore with Peter, in John 21. The beauty of this passage is that Jesus did not only forgive Peter privately—He restored him publicly, purposefully, and lovingly. Peter had failed at a charcoal fire, but by that same fire, Jesus brought him back—not to condemn, but to heal. You see, Jesus often brings us back to the place of our greatest failure—not to shame us, but to redeem us.

Christians should have no fear of what is coming or happening around us, for Scripture assures us that the chaos and darkness of this age are not the final word. There is coming a day when it will be all over, when the night that seems so long will give way to unending dawn. As Paul wrote, “The night is nearly over. The day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light” (Romans 13:12). The Day of the Lord is not a rumor or a story we tell children; it is the certain moment when everything false collapses under the weight of truth, every shadow flees before the light, and every tear is wiped away by the hand of the One who has already overcome the world. It is time — past time — to bring back the corporate, deep lament prayer that marked every true awakening. Not polite 5-minute prayers. Not solo intercession. I speak of the unified groaning that shook the early Church (Acts 4:31) — weeping, travailing, refusing to let go until heaven opens.🔥

Church leaders, gather your flocks. Cancel the calendar. Call solemn assemblies. Let the elders cry “Spare Your people, O Lord!” Let tears flow. Let the sound of unified groaning rise like incense until the fire falls again. ❤️‍🔥
