There are no words to describe the ongoing epidemic that unfortunately appears exclusive to these United States! “Why and what the hell is going on” are the understandable and usual questions that permeate our minds, but now we just need it to stop. How do we stop it? What is the solution? Those are the questions that need to be asked and answered before the next time.

8 days ago, an 18 year old white male walked into a community grocery store and killed 10 black people for no apparent reason other than the color of their skin. He can be considered “broken.” If the script was flipped we know that the headline would have been considerably different than the reality of what we read. Hence: The System. It feels as if it is a waste of time to ask “why?” The real question to ask is how do we fix it? “How do we fix it?” is the enormous question and task that faces us when the system was not designed for us from the inception.
