We have a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance, but we must first 'fight the good fight of faith' and keep in step with the Spirit, driving out earthly desires that 'wage wage war against our soul' (1 Peter 2:11). The Israelites when they entered the promise land fought with physical swords to claim the land, although it was God's power at work that brought them victory.

So too, we must use the authority we have in Jesus' name, and the Power of the Holy Spirit, the word of God, to continue to take up our cross daily, putting to death anything that can hinder our faith and run with perseverance, putting the word of God into practise. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh (carnal), but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

God is love. God so loved us that he send Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. Paul says, I can do a variety of things and even have faith to move mountains, but if I do NOT have LOVE, I am nothing, I gain nothing, and am a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. LOVE is the fulfilment of God's Moral Law. It can only be met through faith in Jesus and through the Power of the Holy Spirit given to us who believe. Therefore continue to live and keep in step with the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh which aim to please 'self' rather than God.

As believers in Jesus Christ, to the Glory of God, we have enduring hope, and an everlasting Kingdom that goes beyond our lifespan of life. God loves you, and in Christ Jesus, he WILL accomplish the work he has begun in you. This is because you love Jesus, you have faith in him who sacrificed his life for you, and you are led by the Spirit of God, and NOT the spirit of the world. God is faithful!

Jesus says, "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.“ (Matthew 10:29-31).

Remember, by your faith in Jesus and life by the Holy Spirit, "it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose“ (Philippians 2:13), and "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose“ (Romans 8:28).

In everyday life, as an encouragement, keep on having faith in Jesus, in every circumstance. Jesus is always joyful to see our faith in him, and even intercedes for us that we may be strengthened in our faith and remain in him, the true vine that we may keep bearing fruit by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Every day we "take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one" (Ephesians 6:16).

Our faith in Jesus and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives is Powerful! Through faith in his name, we can say NO to unnecessary things that distract us from what God wants to do in our lives - to save those around us, and "snatch them from the fire," as we ourselves have also been because of our faith in Jesus.

Psalm 34:8 - Taste and see that the Lord is good!

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, and what joy it is to continue on in this freedom every single day, no matter the fiery trials that come like a fleeting shadow. Keep up the good fight of faith, and delight yourself in the LORD each day, as you are doing!

A message on how Jesus "sees" our faith on a day-to-day basis, and how he is pleased when we walk in the Spirit and keep on having faith despite the circumstances around us! He gives us strength, and so we fix our eyes on him at all times, knowing that he sees and loves us.

Not only did God, through Jesus Christ, wipe out our sins when we believed and got baptized in Jesus name, but he has given us another advocate, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Grace, who lives in us and gives us the POWER to Overcome Sin, endure daily trials and make it to the very end because of our faith in Jesus.

God has changed our lives completely and has made us his children, "for free!" because we believe. We are now co-heirs with Christ of an internal Kingdom that will never perish, spoil or fade!

Keep on having faith in Jesus Christ and what he has done in your life! David affirms God's faithfulness for his people when he says "I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken" (Psalm 37:25).

Let us continue in Him, living out our faithful lives of joy in the hope we have as children of God through Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour, who loves us and makes us stand firm in the midst of the wind and the waves of everyday life.
