Communion symbolizes both our judgment and our hope by representing the reconciling work Jesus has accomplished for the family of God. 

God remains with His people and provides words of life even when we abandon Him.

When we truly trust that God is unchanging and good to his children, we are led to trust him more and to live more faithfully. Just as God was working on behalf of the Israelites in Numbers 23 and 24, God is also constantly working on behalf of His people today, even when we are unaware. As a result, God is worthy of our trust in the face of trouble and we should remain faithful to Him. 

The cross of Christ helps us receive the blessings of God in humility, worship, and gratitude.

Remembering God’s faithfulness stops our rebellion and leads to bold action.

Christ sacrifice completes the work of our atonement.

The cure for the shame we feel from our sin is found in the love and presence of God in our lives, not in our isolation.

When we grow in our knowledge of Christ, it helps us reject anything that would be added to our faith and distort it from what it was meant to be.
