Jesus tells his followers they will face hostility, opposition, and persecution because of their association with Him. The sure possibility of persecution should not lead us to fear, but lead us to trust our Savior whom we belong to and whose name we make known to the lost world.

Jesus promises us that He is the life to those who are dead in sins. When he saves us, he gives us eternal life that is our present reality. Now, we are free to live our lives today knowing Jesus is the source of our life.

Culture questions truth and leaves it to the individual to decide what is true. For the believer, God is our source of truth and because of Jesus, we can know who God is.

The political season often brings frustration, uncertainty, and division. As Christians, we are to remember the promises made to us by Jesus. Through Jesus Christ, the promise of heaven is our hope on earth.

Loving others like Jesus is a big call but a call that is worth obeying.

Christ displayed his love for us when he gave his life on the cross. By loving like Christ, ALL people will know we are associated with Christ.

Judas and Peter sat closely with Jesus for three years learning who He is and seeing his love first hand. But in a crucial moment, they both turned their back on Him. Judas failed to see the kindness and grace in Jesus. Peter would repent. Their stories are a reminder for us: What will we do with Jesus?

As Jesus approaches the cross, John reminds us that He loved us to the end. His heart of selfless and unconditional love is how we are to serve others, the same way he washed the feet of the disciples.

We are all worshipers. We either worship the one true God or we worship a lesser, underserving god. True Worship is valuing or treasuring God above all things. We worship Jesus because only Jesus is worthy of our sincere worship.
