God's written Word to us is a true, life-giving book that tells us one grand story: God's plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. That grand story is preserved for us today by the Holy Spirit's power who worked in the hearts of the writers to preserve God's words for generations to come.

Jesus takes a simple illustration of light and darkness to help us easily understand not only his greatness, but also our need for him. The life changing light of the world reveals the present glory of the Father.

John 7 is filled with questions about who Jesus is, yet, the people at the feast have a wrong view of Him. A wrong view of Jesus will lead to confusion, division, and opposition. We must have a Biblical view of who Jesus is.

We're celebrating our 5th birthday by looking at Nehemiah 1-2. Nehemiah is the story of a man who sees the brokenness of his home town and desires to see it restored for God's glory. Like Nehemiah, we are a part of God's mission in the world to redeem lost mankind through the death and resurrection of Jesus.

John 6 closes with Jesus explaining what it truly means to follow him. Some people left, the twelve disciples stayed. Jesus exposes the difference between a true follower and a fake follower. True followers see Jesus for who he is. Jesus is seeking true followers.

Why do you seek Jesus? Is it for material gain? Is it for physical healing? Do you seek Jesus through good works? Do you want Jesus to prove himself with another miracle? Jesus addresses these questions and calls for us to seek him and him alone. He is the Bread of Life.

Every man, woman, boy, and girl was made in the image of God and created to glorify him in all things. Psalm 139 teaches us that we are intricately woven by an incredible Creator God.

We know we need to read the Bible, but often we times we don't because we don't know how to read the Bible. The Bible is not about what we can do, but it is about what Jesus has done. When we read the Bible, we begin to understand who God is.

Love is giving of yourself for the sake and good of others. Biblical love is from God, grounded in who he is, and demonstrated in the death and resurrection of Jesus. The greatest act of love was God giving Jesus as the Savior of the world.

The hope we have in Jesus is a sure thing; a better thing. With full confidence we can place our hope in who God is, what he has said, and what he will do. The hope of Christmas is a reminder of our eternal hope.
