I’m going through some difficult times right now and feel so low. What encouragement is there for me? My family is Amish, and I wonder about their salvation. What are your thoughts on Amish beliefs? How should we view the sovereignty of God given that rebellion against Him is rampant? What does it mean to “fear” the Lord? Should we be scared of Him? Who will we reign over in the future and what are your thoughts on the millennium? Explain the freedom to eat and drink in Romans 14 and how to avoid offending people while remaining free.

Given our new identity in Christ, how do we view the idea of “self” and and the concept of humility? Can unbelievers call upon the Lord to be saved if they are spiritually dead? How do I assure my eight-year-old daughter that God is real?

How can we best understand Romans 8:28 and the encouragement given there? Galatians 5 might be interpreted to say that if anyone does anything on the list of sins there, they will not inherit the kingdom of God. Is this true? If Romans 9 isn’t about God individually selecting certain people for salvation, then what is it really about? What about the wedding feast where “few are chosen”? Is there any criteria for them being chosen to participate in the feast?

I struggle with sin often and wonder what God thinks of me. How unusual is this? Is it okay for a Christian to drink wine? What are your thoughts on Methodist doctrine, denominations in general, and church splits? Is James’ epistle less accurate than other New Testament letters? What was James trying to say about “faith and works” in chapter 2?

I keep sinning willfully. Where do I stand with God? I struggle to find new covenant teaching. Where do I go? How do we live the Christian life?

Will God tell us "well done good and faithful servant"? Can you forfeit your salvation? Are believers required to give ten percent of their income?

What are some of the major reasons we cannot lose our salvation? How important is it to believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus? Will we really judge the world and judge angels? Is there a different message for Jews versus Gentiles? How should I pray for my husband and his salvation? How does faith play into the renewing of our minds? What are some of the biggest highlights of Galatians? I struggle with anxiety and fear. How can I get help?

There is so much to celebrate in this new year: a new covenant, a new way to approach God, a new identity, a new life, a new commandment, and a new way to serve!

Are we forgiven little by little? Is the whole world saved? Is hell real? What do we do when we sin?
