INCOMING! Bimini Bon Boulash joins The Grand's podcast, talking about handling mega fame, explaining what drag means to them, and giving us the scoop on dropping a brand new single which Bimini describes as "a Brit pop mash-up of Lily Allen and Blur". The Drag Race UK super star reminisces on gigs, including a Clapham Grand show last year at which she came untucked and nearly went viral on YouTube. Bimini talks about Jonny Woo, John Sizzle and the East London drag scene that they hail from, revolving around The Glory.
Tayce and Awhora then crash into the office to spill some tipsy tea on Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister. Awhora has a meltdown over Tayce's terrible housemate habits - like starting to cook salmon and then forgetting about it for four days, while Tayce reveals Awhora's wild spending habits down the supermarket! Awhora's vivacious hell-raising cries alone make this episode a must-listen and could possibly trigger a zombie apocalypse.
And as ever - our gorgeous podcast hosts discuss all things showbiz here at Clapham Grand, including a surprise visit from Dizzee Rascal, last week's incident with Will.I.Am causing a traffic jam at Clapham Junction, plus a dodgy VO5 commercial, a pansexual dating show and a new comedy venture "LMAOnaise" starring Jayde Adams and Len Blanco.
Further shouts outs in this episode go to Mighty Hoopla, Klub Kids, Penguin Bars, Margo Marshall, Claire's physiotherapist, Princess Julia, Lawrence Chaney, Zoe Paskett, Drunk Women Solving Crime, Jack Cullen, LIPSYNC1000, Rhys Pieces and of course Bimini's side-kick Barbs!
Pop your airpods in, get your fave tracksuit Febrezed and ready for a river walk, or start cleaning that living room all ready for tomorrow's TV event of the century - the grand final of Drag Race UK Season 2, and have a cracking good listen to our favourite podcast episode yet!
