For episode 6, I sat down and talked with the guys from The Lunar Laugh. Our conversation covered a variety of topics such as their favorite shows they've played, what's next for the band, and whether they would rather be able to breathe underwater or have the agility of a cat. We also dove pretty deep into the stories behind some of the songs off their newest release Mama's Boy. To wrap it up, they played an acoustic version of their new song, "By The Light of The Living Room." I think you're going to really enjoy this episode!
For episode 5, I had the honor of sitting down with the incredibly talented Adam Ragsdale. Influenced by the likes of Coldplay, LANY, The 1975, and Ed Sheeran, Adam combines artfully crafted poetic lyrics with intriguing melodies and beautiful musical arrangements. His new album I Still Think About Us. is a testament to the high level of artistry he is at. In this episode we talk about the new album, his favorite spots to eat, prank stories from childhood, and what we can expect from him soon. He was also nice enough to play “Impatiently Falling” live on the show!
For episode 4 I sat down with one of my best friends Michael Weidemann. Michael is photographer from Oklahoma City, OK whose art is incredibly captivating and moving. He’s a photographer that doesn’t just take photos of things, he tells beautiful and breathtaking stories through the photos he takes. We talked about all things photography, his love for Kanye West, his dog Hendrix, and what motivates him to create the magnificent stories he does.
For episode three I talked with my good friend Mallory Eagle. Mallory is a singer/songwriter from OKC, OK who just released her debut album “Red Dirt Home.” Inspired by the likes of Alison Krauss and Chris Stapleton, Mallory blends her love of well crafted songs with her love of country and folk music. She’s the kind of artist that pulls you in with a song and tells you a story in a way that only she can. I had a great time talking with her for this episode and I think you’re going to love being in on the conversation.
For episode 2, I sat down with my friend Paxton Pennington. Paxton is a singer/songwriter from Norman, OK who recently released an amazing record titled “Open Sea." In this episode we talk about his love for Mexican food, his advice for younger musicians, and his latest release “Open Sea.” I had a great time talking with him and I know you will enjoy hearing what he has to say.
