Greg, Bruce, and Joey are back in the lab this week (or was it last week…time tends to escape us) to share stories about their latest concert experiences and discuss upcoming live events, including the Great Blue spring tour set to commence in May!

During this episode, the hosts reminisce about recent shows in NYC - covering bands such as Mungion, Eggy, and The Motet - and “look forward” to seeing concerts from this *past* weekend featuring Dogs In A Pile and lespecial. The guys also head #downthepathway to talk tour with the boiz from Great Blue - Peter Anspach, Ethan Michael, Seth Zucker, and Nick Hanna! Beyond their upcoming tour, the group discusses the history behind Great Blue, the growth of the band as friends and musicians, and how all “musical paths” lead back to Guitar Hero (or Rock Band, if you happen to play the French horn…or drums, whatever floats your boat). Make sure to listen in, and check out Great Blue live next month!

Great Blue Tour Dates:

5/17 Philadelphia, PA - Milkboy

5/18 Providence, RI - Fete Lounge

5/19 Saratoga Springs, NY - Putnam Place

5/21 Thornville, OH - Domefest

5/22 Rochester, NY - Flour City Station

Greg, Joey, and Bruce get back together this week for part one of an epic two part series! The hosts shoot the breeze about past, present, and future live music going down in the tri-state area, talk a bit about Hungersite (the latest single from Goose), and talk tech and tradition with the incomparable Jon “Coach” Lombardi!

During this episode, the guys start off with a trip down (short-term) memory lane, reminiscing about recent shows from ElephantProof, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and The Disco Biscuits, as well as other artists who’ve played classic venues in the local area. They also take a bite out of Hungersite before embarking #downthepathway with Goose co-founder, stage manager, and video director, Jon Lombardi! The group talks about the growth of the live production, the early days of the band, the value of live music and a supportive community, and much more! So much more in fact, that we needed to divide the interview into two parts…stay tuned for part two with Coach, coming soon!

Greg, Joey, and Bruce return to the fray this week to heap praises on Eggy and talk shop with renowned music journalist and author, Steven Hyden!

During this episode, the hosts recount their field trip to a fantastic Eggy show at the Mercury Lounge in NYC and briefly revisit the current festival lineups coming up in the warmer months. They also head #downthepathway with famed music critic, author, and podcast host Steven Hyden! The group immediately digs into the legacy of great American jam bands (and the history of their sometimes overzealous fans) before diving into the upcoming Goose album, Dripfield, and musing about what the near (and distant) future of the band may hold. Our conversation with Steven was so thoughtful and insightful, you might not even realize you’re listening to The Great Beyond - definitely don’t miss this one!

Greg, Joey, and Bruce are back again with a big studio episode this week, featuring an interview with very special guest Peter Shapiro, recorded backstage at Mohegan Sun Arena before Goosemas 8!

During this episode, the hosts briefly discuss recent festival announcements and some of the latest shows from the second leg of the Goose 2022 Winter Tour, with Joey providing a bit of his first-hand experience from the Nashville run. They also head #downthepathway with concert promoter, venue owner, and filmmaker Peter Shapiro - the inimitable Impresario of Organos himself. We talk with Pete about his history with the band and their team, his involvement in Goosemas and other events, his venues, and the general usefulness of “resources.” We also speculated a little about what events might be cool to see in the band’s future…but of course, it was all just speculation… ;)
