The great flood of Noah.The flood story tells us that humanity was destroyed by the floodwaters except for 8 people who were spared on the ark. These people multiplied and spread out over the earth after the flood. The Bible records the genealogies of the first generations to be born after the flood, and notes that at a certain point, they spread out extensively over the earth.
