Social Justice Alert. As of February 3, 2023, this trial is currently underway. This is an interview focusing on a black man involved in an accidental shooting, now being charged as a murder. Robert Somerville of Downtown Stockton , California , a place known to be a marginalized community, was involved in an accidental fatal shooting of a Stockton Fire Captain. On January 31, 2022 at 4:45 am, Robert thought he was being burglarized at his 17,000 square ft. living/working facility. Unbeknownst to him, a fire was nearby and the fire department thought there may have been some danger for the building that he lived/worked in. What happened next was truly an unfortunate accident. Here in Robert's own words how the traumatic event unfolded. CONVICTED looks at the role race and class plays when worlds collide.
