Welcome to the Break Through your Profit Ceiling podcast. I am so stoked to be bringing you this 4 part series on the Great Resignation.
For the last 2 years we have been facing a change, a disruption to our way of life. The Global pandemic has effected everyone, and none more that the over 48 Million people who have left the work force in 2021 alone.
With those kinds of numbers, I wondered, where did all those people go? Surely they still have to make a living. Assuming a large portion of those started a business, I’m curious, where are they getting support, help, community when starting a business. With 50% of business failing in the first 5 years, I wanted to provide a resource, a guide to how to build a successful business.
This is what this series is about.
I recruited my good buddy Evan Van Auken otherwise known as the Vanader to fill in the parts that I only know enough about to be dangerous.
Over the next 4 weeks we’re going to help you build a plan to a successful business. I’ll focus on the marketing and sales aspects and Evan will help you build a solid foundation for your business. The motto for this series is Just Start…….
I’m a master of repurposing content, so when I began to layout the structure for my part on this series I realized I had already recorded the content I wanted to share in a Masterclass I taught last year. In the Great Resignation Part 1 I took excerpts from the Masterclass and updated it for today. So if you hear me refer to people on the call, that’s because it was taken from a Zoom class previously recorded. Evan is the inventor of Scorch Marker, a wood-burning solution that quickly grew into a crafting company. After learning from other great entrepreneurs, Evan quickly realized that he would never forgive himself if he didn't shoot his shot as a full-time inventor and entrepreneur. So, he quit his career as a Firefighter and Paramedic to run his businesses full-time with his wife and partner. Fast-forward to today and now Evan and his wife own multiple companies and patents that generate millions.
