The church of Jesus Christ is referred to by many names in the Bible. One of those names is the body of Christ. Christ is the Head of the church and each member makes up a vital role in the function of each local church.

This a continuation from the previous Lord's day message. God did not save His people to sit but rather to serve.

God imparts each believer with at least one spiritual gift. That gift is to be used in service to God in the local church. The gift is to be used to build up the church. We have not been saved to sit. We have been saved to serve.
